I’ve had leftists use that argument and they thought it was a real, valid, and moral justification for transfer payments.
“If you don’t redistribute the wealth, the poor will get violent.”
And, as always, this is upside down from reality and Christian morality. Thou shall not covet or steal or murder. Period. No excuse if you’re “poor”.
I say let the rabble get violent. When they do we can get violent right back and reduce their numbers. I’d bet I’m better armed and a better shot then they are.
