Obama: Debt crisis? Nah, we’re good for the next 10 years.

ABC’s Stephanopoulos is asking Obama whether or not entitlement reform is on the table. Obama claims that some Republicans didn’t really know what he planned, but Stephanopoulos presses him:

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: But even the ones who’ve seen your plans say they need to see more.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: Well– I understand. Which is why, at some point, I think I take myself out of this. Right now, what I’m trying to do is create an atmosphere where Democrats and Republicans can go ahead, get together, and try to get something done. And, y– you know– I think what’s important to recognize is that– we’ve already cut– $2.5– $2.7 trillion out of the deficit. If the sequester stays in, you’ve got over $3.5 trillion of deficit reduction already.

And, so, we don’t have an immediate crisis in terms of debt. In fact, for the next ten years, it’s gonna be in a sustainable place. The question is, can we do it smarter, can we do it better? And– you know, what I’m saying to them is I am prepared to do some tough stuff. Neither side’s gonna get 100%. That’s what the American people are lookin’ for. That’s what’s gonna be good for jobs. That’s what’s gonna be good for growth.

But ultimately, it may be that– the differences are just– too wide. It may be that ideologically, if their position is, “We can’t do any revenue,” or, “We can only do revenue if we gut Medicare or gut Social Security or gut Medicaid,” if that’s the position, then we’re probably not gonna be able to get a deal.

Sounds like a stupid thing to say. So either Obama is sly or stupid and I will go with sly like a fox. Just my opinion.

I'll go with stupid. He's a puppet and an empty suit. The brains are pulling his strings and he's too stupid to mind. Too stupid to face reporter's questions not presented to him in advance, too stupid to think on his feet, too stupid to address a room of 1st Graders without his teleprompter.

The best word to describe Obama is feckless.

we’ve already cut– $2.5– $2.7 trillion out of the deficit.

How much of that comes from Obamacare's fictional savings?

How about the game of three card monte Obama was playing with about $500 billion for Medicare by moving the money to Obamacare with full intention of restoring the Medicare spending once Obamacare was approved... whoops, lost the filibuster proof majority when Scott Brown was elected and the whole thing had to be frozen as is to keep the mean Republicans from slowing it down and actually reading it.

I’ll go with stupid, but trying to act all sly by shucking and jiving

“take myself out of it”

indeed

first potus we ever had who voted or TRIED to vote “present” on every single issue (apparently his bluff was called by the adults who went ahead and got Bin Laden while he was golfing, and now on sequester)

‘which is why, at some point, I think I take myself out of this’

Obama only wants credit, not responsibility. He speaks like some teenager who wants to be accepted. How did this once great country get suckered into putting this sorry excuse for a man in charge? And then give him 4 more years to complete the destruction?

He has evil intent, but lacks the intellect to implement that intent.
His puppet masters have both the intent and the capability.

The US is like one of those banks that is truly too big to fail. You think the ChiComs are really gonna call our loans? Where will that leave them?

Everyone on the planet has just too big a vested interest in rolling the Three Card Monte tournament on and on and on....

Obama obviously knows this.

Obama wants to run the economy into the ground through redistribution; hand it to the GOP to fix up through austerity and to take the blame for benefit cuts, and then start in all over again. It’s a very long range plan!

What a stupid man.
The leader of a small company needs to plan 5 or 10 years into the future.
The leader of a major corporation plans 20 or 30 years into the future.
The leader of this country should be looking 50 to 100 years ahead.

This moron is saying he is pretty sure we can survive for ten more years.

I wonder how much he plans to make once ObomaCare kicks in?

It will be substantial because he really won't provide any services for the money.

mythical 2.5 trillion in deficit savings...from winding down the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan...I remember Krauthammer’s comment on Fox Special Report 218 months ago:

“You might as well save another trillion by saying that we are not going to have a bicentennial invasion of Canada as a way to get the War of 1812 done right. There are a lot of countries that we could decide not to attack and have savings. So that’s a farce.”

Congress must by law provide an ANNUAL budget, not a 10 year budget and so I have no interest what will happen 9 years old. Do an annual budget.
