If Berretta leaves, they’ll be taking with them about 400 jobs. A hard pill to swallow given these tough economic times

If the east coast needed an enema, it would really be a toss-up as to where there insertion point would be. Maryland is really giving NY & Massachusetts a run for their money.

I continue to anticipate seeing a rational statutory definition of “assault weapon” floating up out of this morass. Perhaps I Expect too much.

One of my aunts lived in College Park, Maryland with her private sector employed husband (an electronics guy who assisted in developing the first ILS system for airports).

When I was in the USAF stationed in the DC area, my wife and I spent a few week-ends with them and noted that, each morning before breakfast, her husband peeked out the window. When I asked him why, he told me that nearly all of his neighbors “worked” for the federal government and if any of their cars remained in their driveways, he was pleased that they wouldn’t be downtown wasting paper clips and making life miserable for other citizens.

I was going to write Uckfay Arylandmay but it appears they’re doing it to themselves. Dontcha just love it??

That is, indeed, a bitter pill for citizens to swallow; for leftist extremists, however, it's of no concern whatever. Their goal is to deliver a hard slap across the face to the Second Amendment and all those commoners who dare assert it means exactly what it says. It's all about expressing white hot blind hatred: nothing more, nothing less.

We need the weapons manufacturers to come to red states. For reasons becoming more obvious every day....

INterestingly, the reason why nothing has been done in Connecticut, a liberal’s liberal state with a liberal’s liberal governor and a liberal’s liberal state legislature where, of course, Newtown is located is...

Because it is the cradle and historic center of the American gun universe. So many companies started in CT, Sam Colt is a celebrated icon in the capitol city (Coltsville is becoming a National Historic Park soon). There are a ton of gun makers in Connecticut and their CEOs and other organizations have been getting as much airplay as the gun grabbers.

My constituents have overwhelmingly requested support for the governor’s bill,” she told the Baltimore Sun. “If it’s something they overwhelmingly want, it’s my obligation to do so.”

Idiots.

Don't want them following me to Texas when I leave, either.
