People who possess functioning brains are not at all pleased with "reaching across the aisle" as it's referred to any more. Look where that attempt at playing nice has gotten us. The the new Conservative blood must stand up and be the opposition party they are supposed to be and reign these "progressives" in. Everyone I know was energized by this, not only because of Rand but because we could put names to those who were willing to stand up and support him and defy the "so called adults".

'Reaching across the aisle' is a term that describes the clumsy perverted groping by RINOs of the leftists who are ruining the nation now with their three ring circus that attemps to focus America's mind on obfuscation rather than what's truly happening. The ruler and his minions are busily concocting their construction of a pedestal for homosexuals and other gender-confused types, of inventing crises they claim result from 'sequestraion' that involves under $50 billion out of $16 trillion of debt we're currently saddled with. Those on the opposite side of the aisle should be considered America's worst enemies with each member of the 'opposition' possessed by satan and his evil disciple, the phony, non-American Obama whose goal is the complete destruction of America and the rising of a communist Eden in its place.

I already know what Rush blabs about for 3 hours and I don’t have to hear him making love to himself. He has some strange problems with his ego.. That alone is not worth my time. 3 hours a day you want us to listen? I don’t think so.

The number of notable Republicans critical of Rand Paul’s filibuster is really amazing. Rand Paul put serious points on the board against the Obama Administration and John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Bill Kristol, National Review, and others are out dismissing him. If they had paid attention to the crux of his argument on Wednesday, he worked hard to find common ground on the right. His filibuster was premised on the Obama Administration claiming it could use drones to kill Americans in the United States without due process of law after defining “imminent harm” in a way that was not imminent.

Erick Erickson is dreaming. Rand Paul did not score anything except media points by libertarian and liberal media talking heads.

He filibustered for a grueling 1/2 day, thrived on candy bars, and lost not a wink of sleep. 13 whole hours...omigosh...can humans actually survive such deprivation?!!

The then was his so-called victory over "can the government kill Americans on American soil."

The Obama response: "Yes, if we deem it a combat situation."

Rand and his media pals declare a clear loss to be a victory and Rand gets to quit that extreme, survivalist-level filibuster of 13 hours.

Pure spin and media hype.

GOP is full of Leftists hence the well-earned ‘stupid’ moniker.

The GOP should stay with the tried and true members of the party.

McCain/Boehner 2016

The GOP should put its leaders in a position to win. The leadership of the GOP is the future of the party, so put them on the ticket.

The GOP should change leadership, modernize by removing these GOPe fossils.

Can you imagine how bad McCain/Boehner would lose the election?

RE :”Perhaps if they spent more time listening and learning from Rush Limbaugh and less time trying to show the world they’re better than him or the base he gives voice to they’d be more effective. Right now, they’re just stupid.

Yes, listen to Rush, he is ALWAYS RIGHT!

Talk radio giant Rush Limbaugh says that Sen. John McCain will score a stunning upset over Sen. Barack Obama and win the presidency on Nov. 4
[Rush] Limbaugh Predicts McCain Victory (NewsMax ^ | October 31, 2008 | David A. Patten, FR thread link )

I almost forgot this one :
We Could See a McCain Landslide (Rushlimbaugh.com, August 12, 2008)

“The enthusiasm that got people out in 2010, I'm seeing at every Mitt Romney rally. Romney's drawing crowds of 20,000, 25,000, 30,000, 15,000. “The enthusiasm that we all saw in 2010 is there. The same issues that existed in 2010 exist today. There hasn't been anything that's gotten better.”
Rush: Everything But Polls Say Romney Landslide (Newmake Monday, 05 Nov 2012)

Amen. He really thinks he is God's gift to us underlings. "Talent on loan from God." My goodness. You don't get more conceited than that.

The Democrat party elite decided that conservatives were not welcome in their party about 1965
In the 80s The Democrat party declared war on Conservatives in their party.
By 2000, the Democrat party was completely purged of conservatives.

In 1990, the Republican elite decided that Conservatives were not welcome in the THEIR party. You may argue with my timeline, but you cannot argue with my facts.

What has Rush had to say for the last twenty years on massive non-white immigration that has given the Rats massive numbers of votes?

Nothing. Rush is part of the problem.

I like the way you put it. Rush is an establishment based program of gibberish and nonsense. It is nothing but the GOP take on inside the beltway issues, with the tiniest bit of humor thrown in.

Without Rush I would be a “low information” voter. Of course he sounds full of himself, but that is his style on the air. I don’t think he is that way personally! I look forward to listening him. He is about the only thing in this world that makes me laugh and relax. If you don’t like him, turn him off—Obama would like to turn him off permanently.

LOL... you must not actually listen to Rush much. THAT, is probably the LEAST conceited thing he ever says.

That statement is designed to remind us ALL, that our talents are "given" to us by God... and, it's just a loan. We have a time limit.

I absolutely LOVE that line... and, here you are using it a evidence of Rush's ego?????

Laughable..

Yet Erick Erickson reserves the right to ban Redstate posters who advocate breaking away from the Republican Party.

How’s it feel to talk out of both sides of your mouth, Erick?

Ditto! His broadcast last Friday was a very good education about the dem tactics. He played sound clips from the Clinton years about cutting government spending, I think it was the time around the government shutdown. The clips of Al Gore, "saying what is up is down and what is down is up..."

It was funny to hear the same apoplectic words and phrases from 20 years ago to now, same words, same tactics from the fear mongering Democrat party.

It is fun to ridicule the opposition party and laugh at them for their ridiculous statements, they deserve it, .

I would not know about “current services baseline budgeting” without Rush.
I don’t think establishment repubs know what it is to this day.
