This is not going to play well in rural counties. Sheriffs are all elected officials and obviously enjoy the support of their constituents. That is also true in urban counties too come to think of it. These turds are playing with fire.

Have you seen an electoral map of Colorado lately?

I was looking at the state senate districts. Only 7 of these encompass all of the rural areas in Colorado, or 20% (there are 35 senators in Colorado, each from a single member district). The other 28 districts are in the Pueblo-Colorado Springs-Denver-Boulder-Fort Collins corridor.

The ‘Rats therefore must believe that they can afford to flip off the rural areas.
