HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police say a man that robbed a Huntington pizza restaurant got away with the cash, but not before getting a good scare from an employee armed with a gun.
Huntington Police say a man walked into the Ginos Restaurant on Norway Avenue about 8 p.m. Thursday demanding money, and indicating he had a gun.
As the suspect left the store with an unknown amount of money, he was followed by an armed Ginos employee.
Huntington Police say the employee pointed his gun at the suspect, who then let out a shrill scream, fell into a mud puddle and began screaming he was unarmed.
The suspect then got up and got into a getaway car driven by a second man.
Police say the employee had a legal concealed weapon permit.
In Arizona, the police report would indicate that the deceased robber was “covered in mud and bullet holes”. And likely his getaway driver would also be pushing up daisies.
Whether he was actually armed or not would be of little consequence, as long as he still had the loot on him.
