Actress and potential Senate candidate Ashley Judd's aging pets may have been a deciding factor in her choice to part with a renovated Scottish estate worth millions, according to a 2012 interview.

Judd and then-husband Dario Franchitti, a Scotland native, put Rednock, their renovated mansion in central Scotland, up for sale in the summer of 2012, close to six months before announcing their divorce in January 2013. The estate listing asked for nearly $6 million.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

Please tell me this is not true.

It's not true.

Ok, maybe not perfectly accurate, but she has an incredibly steep hill to climb to take Mitch McConnell's Senate Seat away from him.

His campaign popped her in the nose pretty nicely a couple weeks ago. Pointed out that she's anti-coal, anti-reproduction and is lying about her deep connections to the state. He's got Rand Paul's old campaign manager heading up his reelection bid, and Rand is going to be working VERY hard to get him reelected.

The biggest threat to McConnell is a bruising primary campaign that either leaves him seriously wounded or replaces him as the GOP nominee with someone of better ideology but much worse discipline and campaign experience ... like what happened in Missouri and Indiana last year.

That's why a many prominent Liberals, like Katrina vanden Heuvel, have been making a lot of noise about how KY Progressives and Tea Party supporters need to team up to kick McConnell out.

I tried to simplify it for people who don't know CART. I didn't even think of saying Indy cars.

Regardless, it reflects on Judd's hypocrisy.

"...he burns alcohol, not gas... so that's prolly OK with them since they make us burn it too"

Indeed, he does - on the track. But those armies that move all the cars and shops and equipment and motor coaches and transport trucks from venue to venue are another story ...not to mention the jets all the drivers and owners move about in.

Figured you knew, which is why a /s wasn’t going to get it. Gave me a chance to respond. For what it’s worth I haven’t watched CART much so didn’t remember it, nor did I think of Indy cars, so much for the Grand Prix police.
