SOUTH CAROLINA'S BEST BET TO DEFEAT LINDSEY GRAHAM MAY RUN AFTER ALL...
Fitsnews has the scoop. Click the Excerpt link for more info.
(Excerpt) Read more at fitsnews.com ...
I have a love hate opinion of graham, mostly hate. Here in Ok, the tea party ousted John Sullivan, who was a good guy but getting caught up in the whole power trip that kills conservative idealism. We need representatives who represent and serve the people by following the constitution.
What is ‘fitsnews’? Does it require excerpting? It isn’t on my list...
SC ping!
I can’t paste anything from the article since they have a script to highlight and copy/paste so I assume they want to be excerpted. FITSNews is a credible SC blog on politics and local news.
Thank you.
Never assume.
SOUTH CAROLINA’S BEST BET TO DEFEAT LINDSEY GRAHAM MAY RUN AFTER ALL
S.C. Sen. Tom Davis (R-Beaufort) the leading fiscal conservative in Palmetto State government and a hero to South Carolina libertarians is reportedly rethinking his decision not to run against U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham in 2014.
Davis has been inundated with requests that he challenge Graham after the left-leaningRepublican attacked U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) earlier this week. Pauls crime? Daring to stand up for the most elemental of American liberties the right not to get killed by ones government without the benefit of due process.
Anyway, while Paul was filibustering U.S. President Barack Obamas nominee to lead the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) over this vital point, Graham was one of several fiscally liberal Senators dining privately with Obama at a swanky Washington, D.C. hotel. As if that wasnt bad enough, Graham took to the floor of the U.S. Senate the following day to deride Pauls filibuster calling it ridiculous.
Along with U.S. Sen. John McCain, Graham is one of the Senates most prominent neo-cons a.k.a. fiscal liberals and foreign policy interventionists who support pouring trillions of dollars in new spending into our nations already bloated Pentagon budget and wasteful foreign aid.
Davis, who endorsed Ron Pauls 2012 presidential bid, has long been viewed as the top candidate to unseat Graham in a 2014 GOP primary. However last month Davis informed reporter Gina Smith of The (Hilton Head, S.C.) Island Packet of his intention not to seek higher office in 2014.
Davis announcement exposed the dearth of credible candidates in this race as evidenced by the ascendancy of Lee Bright, a social conservative from the South Carolina Upstate who few believe would mount a credible challenge against Graham. Frankly it doesnt surprise us at all that Davis phone is lighting up in the wake of Grahams latest antics and we hope he heeds those calls.
FITS called Davis this weekend seeking a comment, but did not immediately hear back from him. Well let you know if he responds
UPDATE: We just received the following text from Davis: No politics this weekend. My daughter Libby is home for spring break from Virginia Tech. Talk to you next week when Im back in Columbia.

You’re welcome. They’re pretty good for SC news and this is a real scoop for them. Davis gave them a comment but basically said no politics this weekend as he’s spending the weekend with his daughter.
It’s annoying they block you from copying/pasting I have to type out their content but obviously im not going to type a lot out and will just refer Freepers to the excerpt link so they get some well deserved traffic
Oh! How did you do that? Can you put it in the original post for me?
Politicians are like underwear, they need to be changed OFTEN. Graham has become extremely soiled and smelly.
Just copy everything that turns black. I can’t post anything in the original article you posted. The mods can though.
In the future you can post the whole article, but you will need to format it with html.
OR you can do what you did here and copy/paste the rest of the article in the first post and you won’t have to format it.
Either way, make sure you have a hotlink to the original article and you are good to go.

Then no one will accuse you of being a blog pimp. That can get nasty.
As far as graham goes, he can’t go fast enough for me. Is this guy worthy?
Who is Tom Davis? If I need to ask, he doesn’t have the required name recognition. SC voters are like voters everywhere - lazy.
He’s a state senator and used to be Sanford’s chief of staff , he’s pretty well known in the state as a conservative tea partier and Fitsnews which is a local blog with their finger on the pulse consider him the best bet to defeat Graham in a Senate primary. He said a few months ago he wasn’t going to run but he might be reconsidering in light of Lindsey’s meltdown.
Davis is also a very effective speaker and political operator. If he’s Graham’s opponent then i’d be worried if i were him. He will attack him in the most withering terms and probably run a decent campaign with a shot at victory. He does not mince his words I’ve seen him speak before at Ron Paul events. I think he’s on youtube if you want to dig further.
If I remember correctly he called Ben Bernanke is a dictator lol ... search for “Tom Davis Ben Bernanke” and I bet you’ll find it
Tom is “my” state senator. He is a true conservative. The last time I got to chat with I’m was at a Beaufort SC Tea Party Seminar on the constitution. He also spoke to the group from the podium. This guy is the real thing. I’m in good shape here. Tim Scott is my new US senator, Joe Wilson is my transitioning out rep, (district change), elections soon all running to the claim of being the most conservative, and Tom Davis as my state senator, a Tea Party supported winner. Doesn’t get better than that. Only prob I have is Graham is my other US senator...we will fix that soon.
pissant used to post many articles from that site to slander Governor Nikki Haley during her gubernatorial race.
Thank you. I was aware of folks and his crap, didn’t remember his name, but didn’t know anything about this blog at all. If that is who/what it is, not going there and will not respond kindly to articles from there.
I appreciate the info. Thanks again.
