Rand Paul and the filibuster coming up on ABC. Oops. My theory is shot down at electronic speed. Unless they ridicule Rand Paul without mentioning the pyschotic attacks on him by super establishment goons McCain and Graham. Damn. I'm going to have to watch.

MiniMe - LOL, what a perfect description.
Was it Tom Davis who pulled out of the running?
Here's an article from February 6 discussing Tom Davis and now a Lee Bright that might run.
Lindsey Graham to offer resolution praising Obama for killing Americans
After reading the article, Lindsey Graham is even more disgusting, IMO.
Every member of Congress needs to get on board, Graham said. Its not fair to the president to let him, leave him out there alone quite frankly. Hes getting hit from libertarians and the left.
Seems Graham has been cozying up to obama while going to war with his fellow conservative Republicans for some time.

You go dude - you are on a roll. Trying hard to prevent coffee up my nose, this is very funny . Yes, these posts are funny in a sad kind of way
O.K. But don’t lose inflation-charged coffee on my contempt for the Bushes. A bean is a terrible thing to waste.

Juan knows it is only under Dems we have our doors busted in during the middle of the night and either kidnapped or killed w/o due process. He is setting up BO for the same ability.

If everything we know about politics is wrong, then are we wrong to think a third party can’t work? Is the majority really in the Conservative wing just waiting to be heard?

What remains incredible is that we FINALLY have a reduction (in the increase-) of federal spending and everyone is scrambling to BLAME someone else for it and NO ONE is trying to get CREDIT for it.
I personally don’t give a damn what gets shut down by cuts. You could shut the entire corrupt mess down for all I care.
And I worked for years inside the Pentagon and believe me three-fourths of THAT is a BIG WASTE.

What I don't hear mentioned when it comes to trying Obama's SIL is the possibility of terrorist violence during the trial. No doubt security will be tight and costly, but what happens if some New Yorkers get killed because of the venue?
Laura compares the trial of the blind sheik to this one. A lot of water (and blood) have passed under the bridge since this trial. It is comparing apples to oranges. My greatest concern is the possibility of violence rather than whether the government can conduct a fair trial or not. It would have been far better to try this guy in Gitmo, but Holder and Obama are trying to make a political point rather than being concerned about the safety of American citizens. And the costs will be much greater in NYC.

The media may blacklist Paul but the people will remember.
Yep. I hope some more TP types will continue to use tactics like Paul. Jim DeMint has encouraged Conservatives to go outside the GOPE to make their points and talk about Conservative principles. Now they can see, it works!

No doubt about this. But they don’t care. They went to great pains to snatch this guy from Jordan and he’s really nothing, just a pawn to get KSM to NYC. THAT matters more to them than the well-being of the American people, for whom they basically have contempt.

Spot on. Club for Growth is insterested in primarying Graham out of business for 2014. I don't think a candidate has been decided on. I heard Joe Wilson was one possibility. On that topic, see this.
I've lived in South Carolina for 10 years and have never been impressed with Joe Wilson. Except for his most excellent, "YOU LIE," outburst, he hasn't shown me much. Kind of a go-along, get-along guy. NOT what we need in the US Senate. Besides, I doubt he could beat Linda in the primary.

You are probably right about McConnell, putting up “the cloak of Conservtism” for his reeelction. It would be nice if he actually had a transformation......a girl can dream.

Trey Gowdy!Agreed! Trey would be a formidable opponent to Linda. But does he want to? And can he raise enough money?

The GOPE is a power base with no real constituency outside of the Blue States, which can’t be won anyway. But they have massive dough and many chits, even with the lamestreamers.
Until a Paul or a Palin or someone else cuts the chord and begins forming a national conservative party that can nominate a single conservative candidate for each national slate, the GOPE will rule.
Right now, they are set up to run Jebbie Pooh Bush against 6 conservatives in the 2016 primary and win easily. Done deal. Even a cheap hack like Tokyo Rove can win that one.
To: PaleoBob
Holder did this [trying osam's SIL in federal courts] so as to give KSMs legal team a valid argument for trying him in NYC too. Comrade Obamsky is still seething over the rejection of that plan back in 2009 when even Nanny Bloomberg rejected it.
Hmmmmmmm. Could be. I figured they did it just so they could try to get PR points during the trial. Someone this am on the talk shows said that the SIL is the ONLY terrorist that the obama team has captured. Every other "terrorist" has been droned.

I was wrong and you are correct. Al-Awlaki was killed on 30 Sep. His son was killed on 14 Oct in a strike intended for an Egytian named Al Banna (spelling is close). Anyway the son was not an intended target. He was killed by mistake and the killer got off with an oops. Samir Khan, another American, was also killed in the Al-Awlaki strike. He was a minor operative who was not, and would not have been, targeted for assassination. Just another American mistakenly done in by Obama and Brennan. The McCain/Graham duo trust the Obama/Holder/Brennan brain trust not to make similar “mistakes” here in the United States. Rand Paul believes what he sees and is not so naive.

I was surprised at Juan's position on droning Americans on US soil. There are PLENTY of people on the left that agree with Paul's position on this....it's a civil liberty issue. In fact, Paul read various articles from left leaning authors discussing this issue. Glen Greenwald was one.
