Help 'tending wounds' sought for black attackers

EDITOR’S NOTE: The links and video in the following report may contain offensive language.

The Washington Post is usually squeamish about reporting on black mob violence. But at least one of its contributors is not.

That is how we learned the reason why a group of 12 black people robbed and murdered a man at a Washington Metro station in November.

Otherwise, it could have been like the T-shirt says: “It’s a black thing. You wouldn’t understand.”

Before we get to the The Root article to explain it all from “an African-American perspective,” let’s turn to the U.S. Attorney for a few details of this lethal episode of racial violence.

It was a Friday night. And 12 black people from Maryland decided they were going to rob someone. An iPhone if they could. But with 12 people to share the loot, no one pretended this was just about money.

So they set out for a night of mayhem from the Metro Station in Hyattsville, Md.: Squirrel, J.R. Vez, Man Man, Isaiah, A.W., D.T. and others whose names we do not know because they are charged as juveniles. Squirrel had the gun.

First they needed a soft target. The Adams Morgan entertainment district of the nation’s capital had the two necessary advantages: Public transportation and a plethora of affluent victims that would not fight back. You clearly do not know your history

Proving once again that people like old Bedford Forrest were correct.

When I first saw the name “Olijawon,” I thought of Akeem “The Dream” Olajiwan (sp), a member of the University of Houston’s “Phi Slama Jamma” the NCAA Basketball Champs in about 1984. He was a Moslem from Nigeria.

-——In so many ways, we have failed them-——

Correct....... had they been aborted, killed in the womb, they could not turn themselves into thieves and murderers.

I can tell you right now I don’t agree with it. “We failed them”? That’s right-—these uncivilized black thugs make their own choices and terrorize society, but God forbid we lay the blame on one of the cherished victim groups. The blame lies with the thugs and with their mothers, who irresponsibly mated and got pregnant, and neglected their upbringing.

I’ve spoken elsewhere about an altercation I recently had with a black woman. She had a boy with her, about ten years old, I would say. When I initiated conversation with the woman about damage the boy did to my car, he opened up his mouth as wide as he could and HOWLED in my face. Like a toddler throwing a fit, but this kid was way too old for that. And he just kept shrieking, loudly, until the woman pushed him into her car.

I’ve never seen anything like it. The kid was absolutely feral...like he was raised by wolves. He will grow up and prey on society. And no one better try and tell me I’m responsible for it.

A friend of mine that teaches on a North Jersey welfare reservation has had students who would refer to a book as “that” (with pointing) or “that thing”; they were in second grade, and had never seen a book in their home.

Welfare reform is slowly turning their neighborhoods into barrios, but it isn’t happening fast enough. My company has whole departments where they make up their “diversity quotas” with Hispanics (who happen to be decent workers); blacks have become increasingly marginalized and quarantined in their housing projects due to this unfettered immigration.

The article said “Hyattsville” station. I used to live in Hyattsville, Prince Georges County, so the writer probably meant the West Hyattsville station or possibly PG Plaza station. We would go out of our way to use the College Park (UMD) station just to avoid waiting for trains at the other two stations. Even though we could walk to the PG Plaza station, we would drive to College Park. We almost never went to the mall at PG Plaza, and I think we used the West Hyatsville station twice in the 10 years we lived there.

So far so good. Next, Eddie Glaude Jr. from Princeton University. He urged us to “broaden our understanding of victimization.”

“We must try to understand the context that produced it. It isn’t simply that these young black men are evil. In so many ways, we have failed them. I am not absolving them of their responsibility for the crime. I am simply holding us responsible for the world that produced them.”

Rahel Tesfamariam, isn’t that an Ethiopian name? Ethiopians are no more “African-American” than are those of Boer descent.

I don’t care what their circumstances or origin might be. I won’t see them as a victim, and I want them to pay the full price of their crimes. Preferably by being hanged from the nearest light post.

We? Who the hell is we? Are you assigning collective guilt? Thought that was a no-no? So when we speak of black crime or black pathologies in general, we are supposed to look at the people involved as individuals not the collective group. BUT when trying to explain these very same issues by not holding the individuals responsible and certainly not blacks themselves, placing collective blame is okey-dokie when trying to blame whitey.
