Not surprisingly, most of the folks on MSNBC have being having a field day Thursday ridiculing Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) for his historic filibuster the day before.
Doing his part on the Martin Bashir show was MSNBC political analyst David Corn who said that Attorney General Eric Holders letter to Paul had a very silent FU in it (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

All that means is that Rand scored Alinsky points against Eric.
Nothing else matters. We have to learn that.

I didn’t think the FU was very silent at all.
It was loud, dripping with contempt and venom.

Rand nailed H0lder's and Bammy's hides to the shed, Fred.
I can only hope that it continues.

Rand Paul is a great man, and Eric Holder is one of the most vile, lowlife scumbags to ever occupy such a high position in our government. Getting insulted by someone like him is an honor.

I think Rand Paul’s filibuster and Ted Cruz’s questioning had very loud versions of FU in them. Meanwhile, does the left think they won something when the Attorney General has to give a petulant “silent FU” to a junior Senator from Kentucky.

And how does Eric keep his job and escape impeachment? Everyone fears having THIS thrown at them if they were to dare try:

Liberals at large can pretty much go and “Alinsky themselves” in their constant whining and hubristic promises.

60 days ago, it looked like the GOP was about to be checkmated in three moves. They've played a very skillful game to be where they are today. Rand and the Teaparty are a big reason the GOP isn't in full retreat.
I actually think the GOP might be able to run out the clock on Obama now - gonna be an interesting 18 months ...

Hope you’re correct.
I’m worried about the ‘14 midterms, because the Baraqqis are converting the Obama campaign machine to attack the House elections.

Republican party has now become the Washington Generals to the RATs Harlem Globetrotters. Every now and then the Generals need to be able to score a basket. Doesn’t change the basic premise of the game.
- ...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said. [Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften [immigration, gay marriage] stance]
- One day after announcing on his radio show that he is "truly considering" running in 2014 for the U.S. Senate seat now held by New Jersey's Frank Lautenberg, Rivera amped up his message today in a television interview and a column on the Fox News Latino website... a moderate Republican who is fiscally conservative but also supports gay marriage and Roe v. Wade... [Geraldo Rivera declares himself a 'moderate Republican' as he eyes U.S. Senate run]

Paul holds the high ground on this one and they know it. Right and left will unite against drones flying around America taking out people. Even low information voters will never go for it. Paul will win that battle. The question is what next? Obama and Company have bigger fish to fry than drones.
