... rename it, “The U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy is an A-hole 500”

Or "The Dyslexic 500 - sponsored by ARN"

Eat it, Murphy. So glad we moved out of your progressive Connecticut political scene to Texas last year!!!!

Your state is losing hundreds of income tax dollars and that’s becoming a trend, wake up to the fleeing constituency & smell the lost cordite.

Chris Murphy is a political hack who won election to the senate by simply being the candidate on the ballot with the 'D' after his name in a deep 'blue' state where Democrats rule - everything. The state is teetering on bankruptcy and unemployment stands at 8% + but this clown is worried about the sponsor of a race held by NASCAR, a sport he cares absolutely nothing about. Doesn't matter. Murphy figures his silly complaint about a race having the NRA as a sponsor gets him a little publicity (trust me, he's useless as a senator) and burnishes his liberal image with nutmeg state voters who love liberals.

Hating the NRA is one requisite for membership in the Democrat party these days and Chris Murphy is a member in good standing. Of course the NRA and NASCAR will ignore the junior senators request but it'll get him the media coverage he craves because his media pals share his abhorrence of law abiding Americans owning, gasp, guns!

There’s not a single NASCAR race in Connecticut, either at the Sprint Cup level or the Nationwide level. And although most of the fans that attend the races in New Hampshire, Delaware, Illinois, California, Michigan and New York would likely support NRA sponsorship of those races, NASCAR was smart enough to avoid that situation. This would be like a Republican congressman protesting against the Hollywood based Academy Awards because it was sponsored by the United Auto Workers Union.

Consider these connections between the “Evil twins” Chris Dodd and Chris Murphy.

In 2007-2008 Chris Dodd was Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee; at the same time Chris Murphy was a member of the House Banking Committee.

In 2003 Dodd got a “below market” Countrywide Financial Corp mortgage on his Washington, DC and Connecticut homes.

In 2007 Murphy also got his “below market” rate mortgage. His was from Webster Bank and it was on his Connecticut home.

In 2008 Dodd claimed his loan rate from Countrywide was at a “competitive rate “– which it was not.

He denied any political pressure on Countrywide which was ridiculous.

In 2012 Murphy, who got the “below market” rate from Webster despite his poor credit, also denied his mortgage was the result of political pressure.

In June 2008 Dodd proposed a program to assist sub-prime mortgage lenders like HIS pals at Countrywide and later voted for the big bank bailout of 2008.

When it was considered in the House, Chris Murphy voted for the bailout that delivered 400 million dollars of tax payer money to HIS pals at Webster Bank.

Chris Dodd was a Connecticut congressman from 1975-1980 and senator from 1981 to 2010 when he decided not to run again in recognition that he could not win reelection. People preferred an acknowledged liar who claimed to have served in Viet Nam with the Marines over Chris Dodd.

Chris Murphy served as an intern to Chris Dodd in the Senate: HC 5/1/09.

In 2007 when Dodd ran for President Murphy was one of the first to endorse him: why not?

I wish we could give Murphy and that other A-Hole we have in the Senate,The Fake Marine to Texas so Texans can straiten them out. These Two are serious mental cases and they should have never been elected.

Unfortunately the majority of voters in connecticut are mental cases.

Oh!by the way I left the name of the state in small type because it is small.Small in size, mental capacity, you name it.The only thing thats not small is their capacity to try and control people and steal our money.

I suggest that Chris Murphy resign from the Senate and move to TX. Then as a private citizen voice an opinion. Afterwards, I strongly urge Murphy to run for Senate in TX.

I am not a big race fan, but this race is huge - literally the largest race of the year. I would love to go to that party.

"They repealed the first amendment?"

Well, I read right here on FR that any State Legislature or Town/City Council can suspend any or all of the Amendments in the Bill of Rights by enacting a State Law, or City/Town ordinance. Their position was based on States Rights.

So who knows if we still have First Amendment Rights...

I know people in some States are losing their 2nd Amendment Rights at an alarming rate.

"They should stay out of political debate about gun violence," the senator tweeted Thursday.

I imagine he's pretty selective about who he thinks should "stay out" of the debate, namely the other side. I bet if they named it the "Wussy Pussy Anti-Rights 500" he'd be just junky dory with them having an opinion on a public issue.

“U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, who has been outspoken on gun control and against the NRA, urged NASCAR to change its decision.”

*Sigh* and 55.2% of voters in CT supported this guy in 2012.
