Madison police have arrested a man accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.
Eric Law, a WLBT meteorologist since 2004, is charged with two counts of sexual battery and two counts of gratification of lust.
Madison police say the arrest is the result of an allegation that Law had inappropriate contact with a girl under the age of 16.
Judge Dale Danks set bond at $50,000 per count, for a total of $200,000.
"Eric Law has been suspended until further notice," said WLBT News Director Wilson Stribling.

One must admit, this “gratification of lust” meme just rolls off the tongue.
I, for one, think this story would make a great movie, well-suited to the talents now available in Hollywood!

Gratification of Lust.
Some of the Old South language or terms still in use.
Depraved Heart Murder is another. I think that one falls in somewhere between man slaughter and second degree murder.
I love some of the 19th century or even 18th century terms still in use.

And of course being a meteorologist is the most important part of the headline, sigh.

Judge Dale Danks? Really? LOL (He may have been a judge for years. I remember when he was mayor. I remember going to City Hall for some high school awards ceremony. And then I went off to college.)
As for WLBT, I remember Woody Assaf as the weatherman. My how things change!

I think his forecast is going to be calling for a good chance of sore ass...

To loosely paraphrase a line from CaddyShack... “At least he’s got the gratification thing going for him”.

DrO asks, is he the one who was in the serious traffic accident a few years ago with his homely wife?

LOL. Oh yeah, big time.
I can’t post the rest of his comments, but he had the right guy in mind. The news is about to start.
Stay tuned!
