President Barack Obama picked up the tab for a March 6 dinner with 12 Republican senators, winning himself some very cheap publicity for his new legislative strategy of outreach to swing-voting GOP lawmakers.
Senators leaving the event were complimentary about Obama’s statements and responses to their views, despite the deep ideological differences over spending, guns, families and immigration.
The invited Senators were picked by Obama and by Sen. Lindsey Graham, the high-profile Republican senator from South Carolina.

When you flush Lindsay Graham in the primary, PLEASE nominate somebody who listens to Rush Limbaugh or Dana Loesch at least a couple hours a week.
Don’t put up somebody who is clueless about media ambush tactics, steps on a turd, and loses to some Baraqqi in November.

Think of the tip, @ 20%, on that $600 billion. Just, WOW!!!!! That WAS an expensive meal. Not a bucket of cluck from KFC.
Obama already knows McCain’s weakness along with Grahams and in turn weak Republicans were asked to join the group. Type that can be persuaded to go along with any thought/bill/spending measure.
The moment he asked for $600B in new taxes.
Think this is analagous to a drunk meeting a group of his enablers to ask for truck load of Maker’s Mark.
And yes, I do think Graham and McCain are enablers.
Obama paid for it by taking out a loan from Duke Energy. He won’t have to pay it back, ever.
South Carolina has its own “Elites”—and they’re firmly on Graham’s side. We need a big name to help primary Graham out vthats why he’s so arrogant towards conservatives. He’s got a lot of money to campaign. But the tea party put Nicki Haley into office with Sarah Palins help. We need that kind of help again.
