Amen. I just had to repeat that sentence, it sums the problems with the GOP quite well. Short and to the point.
I think these two are watching their time as the "head" of the Republicans in the Senate going away, and they are desperately trying to maintain their "relevance".
I know Paul is getting all the press today; but, I caught some of Ted Cruz's questioning of Holder and I almost felt sorry for Holder (almost). I came away with the firm belief that Holder is a dummy and Cruz had him for lunch.

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are the heart of what the Republican Party SHOULD be. We need to fill the party, and then political offices, with them.
