Theres no word yet if the suspect wielded a military-style pop tart. But below is a copy of a letter the school sent to parents:
Dear Parents and Guardians:
I am writing to let you know about an incident that occurred this morning in one of our classrooms and encourage you to discuss this matter with your child in a manner you deem most appropriate.
During breakfast this morning, one of our students used food to make inappropriate gestures that disrupted the class. While no physical threats were made and no one [was] harmed, the student had to be removed from the classroom.

As you are aware, the Code of Student Conduct and appropriate consequences related to violations of the code are clearly spelled out in the Student Handbook, which was sent home during the first week of school and can be found on our website, www.aacps.org .
If your children express that they are troubled by todays incident, please talk with them and help them share their feelings. Our school counselor is available to meet with any students who have the need to do so next week. In general, please remind them of the importance of making good choices.
What is troubling is the stupidity of those who work at Park Elementary School in Baltimore and not the behavior of the kid who was being a kid. There is violence all over television and on the Internet and we are worrying about a child expressing himself with his pastry? Come on.
oy vey
In the mid-70’s I carried a target rifle through the halls at a MD high school, because the range was in the basement.
The world has gone mad.
The only reason these kids may need counseling is because of all the fuss over what one kid did with his pastry.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
That Pop Tart pistol was just to realistic without that orange tip.
Leftist histarics are just getting too outlandish to be real. There must be some ulterior motive behind this Hoplophobia.
Did you see this one. A school was evacuated because a soldier was seen walking down the hall.

Let’s be clear, the kid had an assault bun.
When you hire a raft of school psychologists, you have to figure out a way, no matter how ridiculous, to use them.
We had guns and bows and arrows in PeeGee Canny.
This is indoctrination not education. Almost all boys shape some type of food into guns and only an idiot would see a problem. The people behind this stupidity are unworthy of their trust and should have no contact with children.
The 3 year old son of one of our county Sheriff’s deputies accidentally shot and killed himself last week and I see the entire department is getting grief counseling.
It’s not about counseling. It is about conditioning Americans to be obedient to the state.
Abuse of power by the state is like an abusive parent with much more power over the the abused.
On the other hand, the teacher and the rest of the school's so called educators need counseling. Their brains have turned to mush and they are no longer capable of rational thought.
Well the parents of this boy should get with the 2nd Amendment Foundation, The Gun Onwers of America and the NRA and demand an apology from the school administration and compensations for the pain and suffering of their son and them selves.
If they dont get satisfaction they should sue the school in to state receivership.
This behavior on the schools part goes far beyond any normal response to normal childish behavior. There is no possible way that this boy presented any threat and no normal child could have felt threatened. This behavior on the part of the school teachers and administration can not be allowed to go challenged; it must be repelled and defeated utterly.
The ones who need counseling are the staff.
We have become a certified nation of chickens and insanity.
We let it happen and do nothing. Oh well, glad I don’t have kids. Otherwise there would be lots of teachers with black eyes and fat lips.
the police need to check the kid’s home to see if his mother bought one of those big 24 count boxes of pop tarts from Sam’s Club, Costco, or BJs. That means Gov O’Mally will need to get the legislature to pass a ban on high capacity poptart boxes. We need to limit poptart boxes to holding no more than 4 poptarts, otherwise will will likely have a massive poptart gun creation mania and little kids scaring the bejebbers out of some tightly wound anti gun adults.
