“Andy Griffith”

Seriously? What did he do?

On a side note, I doubt Henry A Wallace is in hell. For all of his leftist political drivel (and thank god he never ended up in the White House), he was first and foremost a scientist. He developed corn hybrids which helped feed the world. He taught farmers how to farm in a smarter way by using erosion control and proper fertilizer mgmt.

If Henry A Wallace had a problem, it was his incredible sense of political naivete. In his late years, he had began to realize where he was wrong and even endorsed Eisenhower in 1956 and Richard Nixon in 1960.

“Andy Griffith” - Seriously? What did he do?

He endorsed Obama and his socialist health program. In the enumeration of evil individuals, I explicitly included Andy Griffith because he deliberately posed himself as a good and humble man, including recording Gospel albums. In actuality, Griffith was a complete fraud supporting leftists of all stripes. His self-delusion surely places him in the ranks of evil. Search back for the thread here on Free Republic when Andy Griffith died. The vast majority of FReepers saw right through the act and nailed the reality of this individual. And, his characterization of a "sheriff without a gun", as Andy Taylor, was nothing short of liberal propaganda attacking the Second Amendment. Griffith as the despicable Lonesome Rhoades was, in my opinion, the genuine measure of the man.

I doubt Henry A Wallace is in hell. For all of his leftist political drivel (and thank god he never ended up in the White House), he was first and foremost a scientist. He developed corn hybrids which helped feed the world. He taught farmers how to farm in a smarter way by using erosion control and proper fertilizer mgmt.

I did take that in consideration with I appraised Henry Wallace, including his upbringing and the journal, Wallaces' Farmer for farmers that he edited. Looking at the full measure of the man, I can't overlook that he was a key part of FDR's so-called "Brain Trust". That group of men and women (notably Frances Perkins) set up America's socialist path and a litany of government agencies that dismantle the freedom and liberty that the God-fearing men founding our country put into place. Also to Wallace's detriment is that his religious practices were centered on the false doctrine of social justice. And he personally tended toward a weird form of Eastern-derived mysticism instead of the Biblical Plan of Salvation.

So there it is. Two men that aren't generally thought in the same league as those obviously evil such as Hitler, Stalin and Muhammad. I will note that I see things in very black and white terms with no shades of grey. And I'll go so far as to state that -- in my opinion -- if one isn't Conservative, then, being a liberal, eternal punishment awaits. That's because of all of the baggage associated with liberalism: tolerance of sodomy, abortion, atheism (even if masked by a public display of Christianity), favoring government remedies instead of individual acts of charity as prescribed by the Word of God.

All that said, if it turns out that I'm wrong (which I may be) and meet either Andy Griffith or Henry Wallace in Heaven, I trust they'll forgive me for any mis-characterizations and I'll likewise gladly embrace them as Brothers in Christ. I'm not sure if we agree but I've stated my case with candor. And I thank you very much for asking and this chance to respond.
