Citizens for Enacting The Simpson-Bowles Plan
The American people should demand that both sides adopt the latest Simpson-Bowles Plan.
Enough of this insanity.
Sequestration will cost 2.14 million jobs, study says
Both sides are behaving like Kindergartners.
Enough of this - no more "Cliffs", no more "Deadlines", no more manufactured theater.
Sequester risks U.S. security: Simpson, Bowles
If both sides would simply adopt even a slightly modified portion of this plan, this would be over - and our nation could look forward to long term economic growth and our military security would not be gutted.
It's not perfect, but it is the best hope for getting the US out of this absolute partisan mess. Even the Canadians of both parties have said our government has lost its mind.
When I see any liberals talking about Woodward now, he is portrayed as a (connect the dots) “Drama Queen”. Nobody, but nobody, has pointed out that maybe he has always been a little dramatic with a tendency to exxagerate. Isn’t that how Watergate ended up being the Crime of the Century while the Bay of Tonkin incident and resolution were just little things?
Even if it is true that the Simpson-Bowles plan is the best-case alternative for “solving” our fiscal crisis, imagining that the American people are going to en masse get behind it requires a tin ear to how completely lost the people are.
Can you re-name it the Kardashian Plan?
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Mitt and Ann Romney.
Chrispy Creme Christie comes to mind. He's pro-abortion and anti-second amendment rights. All the RINOs adore him. Karl Rove and the Beltway professional campaign strategists love him. He's a weasel, dislikes genuine conservatives, and mocks the Tea Party. He'll fit in perfectly.
He'll also lose.
Did I mention he'll fit in perfectly?
I’m sure Woodward has a few more tricks up his sleeve.
Bob W is a 70-year old center-left reporter and writer who practices a fading craft.
Watching him this past week evoked my last trip to colonial Williamsburg, where you can watch as artisans, trades and crafts-people dressed in 17th century costumes still build houses and make clothing the “old” way.

Boehner said the Dems came to the WH conference without any plan — that they have known for 16 months at the sequester deadline was coming.
Gregory: That isn’t true.
[Gregory basically calls Boehner a liar.]
Gregory just can’t see why Boehner won’t agree to raising taxes.
Boehner: We need to get serious about dealing with the spending problem.
Gregory can’t understand why the Republicans won’t allow more taxes. Says the president is committed to reducing the deficit [with fairy dust, David?].
Boehner: The spending problem must be addressed.
Boehner: The president already got his tax hikes. The problem is, Boehner repeats, is spending ... SPENDING.
Gregory remains deaf. There is no evidence that reducing taxes increases economic growth.
==
It is like Boehner is trying to explain economics, taxing and spending, to the Fence Post Turtle, without much luck.
Boehner is holding his own with Gregory, who is definitely carrying water for the Admin this morning.
Did I mention hell fit in perfectly?

AB! George S just promoed his guests and will be interviewing Dennis Rodman - our Ambassador to NK - to learn his insights on Kim Jung Un.
I am not kidding. Steffi said it while I was looking for the remote.

Dems/Media seem to be implying that the next crisis could possibly be a government shutdown, if the continuing resolution [for government budget/funding] runs into problems.
[In other words, the Dems/Media are hoping for a shutdown — knowing they can fully blame that on the Pubbies and, thus, improve their positioning for the 2014 elections.]
So, what I want to know is, how did any of this obscene spending continue after the Rs took back the House?
Aren’t they complicit in approving the approps...budget or no?
One and only reason I’d have to “get behind” CrispiCream is to kick him in the....
...along with the big timers who are trying to sell that pig in a poke.

That's certainly how Liberals see it. However, it didn't take long for the anti-war crowd to turn on "LBJ's War".
An excellent case can be made that LBJ's Great Society was the Crime of the Century - at least in this country. Or maybe it was the (questionable) passing of the 16th and 17th Amendments?
All of the above steered the country down the wrong paths in a way which the Liberal lynching of Nixon never did or could.
Gregory cant understand why the Republicans wont allow more taxes.
~~~~~~
Translation: Gregory can’t understand why the Republicans didn’t cave on Feb 28.
I’m sure the talk in the DC salons is more about Boehner’s stand than on Woodward’s comments.
Sperling’s appearance is just today’s deflection of attention (shifting the shell which has the pea under it) for whatever public still happens to be paying attention to our political situation.
You can add Ayotte to that little circle jerk...Ayotte, McCain, and Graham...
