But now new research has discovered that the Holocaust may well be even worse than previously thought. Researchers at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum have been documenting all of the Nazi concentration camps, ghettos, slave labour sites and killing factories which had been set up across Europe.
When they first started the project, the team expected to find about 7,000 camps and ghettos. Shockingly, they discovered 42,500 camps across large swathes of German-controlled Europe. The researchers predict that up to 20 million people died or were imprisoned in the sites.'

Austria was the birthplace of Adolf Hitler and of national socialism. It began as an inferiority complex and resentment at being left out of Bismarck's Kleindeutschland. The Austrians felt they had to prove they were more German than any German.
There goes the sickening justification (propagated quite consciously by the Soviets to distinguish their Good Germans in the East from the Nazis in the West.) In fact, it wasn’t mainly the members of the National Socialist Party who committed the war atrocities. That party, which so many here like to argue and argue every single day was “SOCIALIST!”, i.e. the same as the Democrat Party, and the same as the Communist Party, had how many members, you surely must know? The use of the mythical Martian “Nazi” monicker is the best evidence of the power of propaganda.
Were the German people cowards that just stood by and let the Jews be abused and killed? They seemed to be able to field some pretty fair Soldiers. I think the Nazis promised the German people the same old liberal pie in the sky and they believed it. By the way, another great movie is WE ARE THE SMOKE. Really hard to watch, though.
Everyone here in the USA says it cannot happen here. Look around at what is being done by our politicians and their lackeys. It has already begun. Wake up!
Oh, yeah. Forgot about that. I just watched The Winds of War again on Netflix a few months ago. For a TV series, it was really quite well done.
I did see the original version of War and Remembrance, but last time I looked, it wasn’t available to stream.
Japanese took out an estimated 12 million in China—even starting plagues to kill people off. Even Italy took out a great number of Ethiopians and never paid for this war crime.
That should have been obvious. But current geopolitical realities trump everything.

You have to be kidding. NOBODY boasts of winning both world wars more than America. Far from being the boasters, its us who has had to put up with nearly 70 years of ‘saved your a*s/’youd be speaking German if not for us’....
The difference is that the Nazis weren’t trying to wipe out Gentiles. They killed only the gentiles who got in their way.

Not true. They had several categories of "untermenschen, and planned to do away with the lot. Slavic people (among others) were definitely on the list.
The Nazis had no qualms about killing any German who was not sufficiently supportive of Nazi-ism, either.
Oh, I’d say we earned bragging rights. And as far as nobody boasting more than the USA, have you ever seen a Soviet history book? They don’t even acknowledge the western allies, even though the USSR suffered famine as soon as lend-lease food aid stopped.

My theory is that Stalin allowed Hitler to move into the parts of the Soviet Union where most of the Jews lived, so that they could take care of his “Jewish problem.”
