Sheila Jackson Lee is a perfect example of why universal suffrage is a really bad idea.
The biggest mistake Texas ever made was letting this ignorant carpet-bagging New Yorker and her affirmative-action-hire-husband into the state. The University of Houston should be sued for bringing that scourge to the Lone Star State.

I'll go further and add that I agree 100% with Tom Tancredo's advocacy of a civics literacy test as a sine qua non for voting. At the 2012 Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Mr. Tancredo stated this undeniable truth:

Without it, Texas could divide it up into neighboring districts to include a majority of whites, or least give a moderate black candidate a chance to won.
