If you are a FReeper in Rhode Island, please let me know.
Thx for the work.
BUMP for great freeping. Thanks for doing this.
Bookmarked.

Google search:Good Luck! Good work! ;-)Your search - "Rhode Island" AND live OR work OR travel site:freeerepublic.com - did not match any documents.
Great to know that there are a good handful of us FR’s Conservatives in the Bluest (with commie Red inside) state of MA!
I’m very curious though how it works. I see groupings of FR handles separated by “;”s, ready to go into the post “TO:” field via cut-n-paste, but without a state identifier.
How manual or automated is it when these lists are used? What’s the mechanism to grab, say, the Nth group representing state XX? Can a list be used by anyone wanting to post to the current ping list of a particular state?
Just guessing there is probably an automagic way to put an abbreviated pointer into a post or reply to use it...

Lol. At this point you can click on my state flag! Never thought I’d see the day! but prob better to do by your own account, then hit the prototype link at the top. There are some great nooks and crannies here.
Rats just deleted whole msg. Freep mail info confirmed. Good effort.
Sorry, but to me your list is confusing.
My name appears twice but in neither case am I identified as the caretaker of the South Carolina list.
May I make a suggestion: two columns, state abbreviation followed by screen name, like this:
SC upchuck
etc.
I’m in Illinois but I really don’t want to be on any state ping lists.

take a look there
RI members of Freeper
This gets into privacy (and etiquette) issues, but this information comes from a Freeper setting his/her “location” in preferences, thus some prefer to list “United States” instead of pinpointing.
At top of page, click on “Account”
scroll down to “My Locale”
that gives a hyperlink list of states and locations.
RI shows 75 Freepers currently. Clicking on the state gives the state bulletin board: http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles?location=87
State boards are great way to spread news of state and local interest, but it’s not private. Some bds are obviously more active currently than others, but times are changing.
heh, earlier delete was heartbreaking!
At the top of the state page is the hyperlink with the members list info, by state/location (eg, United States, Colombia, etc).
In this case, RI: http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles2?m=member-list;location=87
Again, this is set by individual members at their preference from their HOMEPAGE self-set info (stressing that is under individual control).

Problem is, you have obsessive posters like seekthetruth who think they alone have the only important information on FR, then spams *every* State message board, not just his/her State of Residence.
A lot of Freepers don’t want dozens of messages wasting their time every day so they remove their State flag.
Compare Rhode Island and Florida message boards for an example.
Ever notice how one person ruins things for everyone else?
Perdogg Ping!
Add me to the Tennessee list please.
