WASHINGTON -- Bob Woodward isn't the only person who's received threats for airing the Obama administration's dirty laundry. It seems anyone is a potential target of the White House these days - even former senior members of the Clinton administration.
A day after Woodward's claim that a senior White House official had told him he would "regret" writing a column criticizing President Obama's stance on the sequester, Lanny Davis, a longtime close advisor to President Bill Clinton, told WMAL's Mornings on the Mall Thursday he had received similar threats for newspaper columns he had written about Obama in the Washington Times.
Davis told WMAL that his editor, John Solomon, "received a phone call from a senior Obama White House official who didn't like some of my columns, even though I'm a supporter of Obama. I couldn't imagine why this call was made." Davis says the Obama aide told Solomon, "that if he continued to run my columns, he would lose, or his reporters would lose their White House credentials."
You DO have a way with words. ;) Make that two orders to go.
In a sane world, they would all be behind bars or exiled to Siberia.
See my post#60.
wishful thinking abounds with this trend... dare we hope for correspondents who ask hard and follow-up questions? might some actually be curious to know what really happened re: Benghazi et al?
What these people are NOT saying is how they bent over and said “Thank you, sir. May I have another?”
So, Lanny, did you stop writing the negative articles?
“You shall not take the name of the LORD OBAMA in vain, for the LORD OBAMA will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”
Hey, Lani, what is not to understand ? Capice ?
I like the words ENEMEDIA and PRESSTITUTES. I love the word GERBALISTS. Okay if I use it?
And my guess is that the only gerbalists that have not been threatened are the ones who helped to build the platform to bring forth this abomination on our country. IOW the ones already dedicated to our destruction when Zippy showed up.
That’s what got me thinking. I never understood what happened to Roberts. His decision seemed so out of character, unless he was not the person we thought he was, which is still a possibility!
This is so rich .... as in Frank Rich six feet up Obama’s *** .... Lanny the Liar, Mr. Impeacho-Defendo hisself, getting leaned on by The Chicago Boyz. lol!
Lots of them are having a "hey waitaminnit!" moment, no doubt .....
With any luck, they will now fall upon one another, the diehard ideologues ("Obama or die!"/"Credere, Obeddere, Combattere!!") versus the spineless spring lambs of the Left.
We, meanwhile, will break out the marshmallows and Oreos, cook up a pile of Smores, and sing along mellowly to the dulcet airs of See, I Told You So.
Are. You. Kidding. Me.
He was a Clintonista, a regime henchboy, before he defended liar-lech-rapist-traitor Clinton. His defense of the indefensible removes him from the category of "gentleman".
If he'd defended Goat-Boy as a hired attorney, out of his professionalism, that would be one thing -- he'd be like Plato Cacheris and Uncle Bob Bennett (whom Clinton also hired), able to defend the Rosenbergs without becoming a Communist.
But he was Clinton's man, an ideological Clintonista, and devoted to the promotion of that scumshow called Slick and Beast, long before he got the call to defend Clinton before the United States Senate.
“Are. You. Kidding. Me.”
I have thought about ignoring this post but just decided that I was not going to be lectured to on a subject that I know as much about as any American alive. Thousands of news articles have reported on my activities, and an entire chapter in “Joe Conason and Gene Lyons” book, The hunting of the president’ was devoted to my activities. And no, I do not intend to identify myself.
