I think the situation is retrievable, but the Pubbies have to be willing to say with one voice that

1. The sequester was the President's idea, and
2. The spending "cuts" reflect his priorities

What happens when you decrease the monetery reward for being able to delay a career to be educated for 16 years? You get a shortage. What happens when you have a shortage? You get rationing. Eventually, your supply decreases so dramatically that you will need to take action to increase that supply....

Yep, we will need to FORCE people that are identified as having the ability to learn medicine, to study medicine and become DR’s. For a capped wage of course....

In other words, as a result of confiscating everyone’s physical being (reinstituting slavery), Obamacare will need to enslave people to perform the service.

What the press is not reporting is that the entire situation with the sequester is very solvable. There is no need for any of the cuts to do any damage whatsoever if only Congress and the President would negotiate to seek Targeted budget cuts where each cut should take place in each dept. but designed to do the least damage which is very doable in almost every dept. of govt. Of course at this point its probably too late. Its a formidable task to design targeted cuts for each dept. Truth is however zero never wanted a solution to the problem!! Its too politically attractive for their side to let the demagogue of our side and the fake cuts to keep going on in the press.

Its more incremental destruction of our side. Its what they do best.And we are being " done" again.

Amazing article. The more i read about things like this, the less faith I have that any of us are going to successfully make it out of the many financial disasters waiting to happen.

We spend so much time in this country focusing on the WRONG problems and we have so many stupid sheeple that won't get a clue. They cry foul over the profits made by energy companies but have no care whatsoever that college costs are reaching/have reached the point of unsustainability.

Many jobs require a college education. Hardly anybody can afford a college education, yet here is a chart of tuition costs.



So, doctors take on huge debts just to get a degree. For there to be any reasonable ROI, the medical industry charges ridiculous fees. So, what is the root cause? I believe it is two-fold. We as a nation are involved in two huge ponzy schemes. The first being Higher Education and the second being Health Insurance. Both are now, for all intents and purposes, being run by Government.
