I think the situation is retrievable, but the Pubbies have to be willing to say with one voice that
1. The sequester was the President's idea, and
2. The spending "cuts" reflect his priorities
That needed to be said long before now, but needs to be said over and over and over...

What the press is not reporting is that the entire situation with the sequester is very solvable. There is no need for any of the cuts to do any damage whatsoever if only Congress and the President would negotiate to seek
Targeted budget cuts where each cut should take place in each dept. but designed to do the least damage which is very doable in almost every dept. of govt. Of course at this point its probably too late. Its a formidable task to design targeted cuts for each dept. Truth is however zero never wanted a solution to the problem!! Its too politically attractive for their side to let the demagogue of our side and the fake cuts to keep going on in the press.
Its more incremental destruction of our side. Its what they do best.And we are being " done" again.
