Gun owners rallied at the Capitol last month, part of a growing backlash against gun regulations that now include an expanding industry boycott. Credits: Dave Workman
Saturday saw small but significant rallies of armed citizens in several states including Washington, as more firearms industry companies are joining a boycott of New York and other jurisdictions that adopt gun laws restricting the rights of citizens.
The big names in guns, including Smith & Wesson, Glock, Sig Sauer, Sturm Ruger and other have not yet announced their intentions, but there clearly is a backlash in the works. For gun prohibitionists, it is the unintended consequence that could lead to the inability of police agencies to equip and train their officers.
Among some gun rights activists, there is a sarcastic Gosh, what a pity reaction. Many of those activists gathered Saturday (2/23, in reference to the caliber of so-called assault weapons that anti-gunners want banned, and the 23 executive orders announced by President Barack Obama) at rallies in Kirkland, Yakima, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
The crowds in Kirkland and Yakima were a far cry from the estimated 2,500 armed citizens who showed up last month in Olympia, but their appearance served as a reminder that gun owners have rights, not only to keep and bear arms, but to also exercise their First Amendment rights of free speech and assembly.

We should all be extremely opposed to “closing the loophole” of private sales, because while it is not directly gun registration, it is *de facto* gun registration. And it might be a sneaky way for liberal Republicans to embrace gun registration, using some elaborate rationalization.
While the government, as such, is not *supposed* to retain the records of those who get background checks, does anyone seriously expect a villain like Eric Holder to follow the law?
And even if he doesn’t just blatantly ignore the law, gun dealers, those who actually do the background checks, are required to record all sorts of personal information. And while they are not *supposed* to do so, there have been accounts of the BATF&E going to gun dealers, and copying their entire logbook of gun sales. Illegal, heck yeah. But they still do it.
Even local police often “poll” gun dealers, looking for personal information on who has purchased a particular gun. And they are under no limitation at all on how long they can maintain that data, or who they can share it with.
So stand fast to defend the “loophole”, despite Democrats, anti-gunners, and liberal Republicans to “close” it.
It’s also a way to have legacy family firearms registered.
need to get the AMMO manufacturers to reserve 50% at least of their product for civilian.. maybe even consider 100% to civilian sales
There, fixed it, lest we forget those who died because of Fast and Furious.
Awesome idea. Only one exception for active duty military. They get whatever they need.
the msm does not cover this.
blockout for propaganda
God Bless Texas!!!
