For some reason, the Ruskis and Chinese like the "bill clinton" bow on their carriers.
It struck me as less flexible and practical, but from what I hear it does not detract from the ship's usefulness...

Buying an aircraft carrier and owning an aircraft carrier is not doing air missions from an aircraft carrier. The carrier must work, the planes must work, and the pilots must be selected and trained and trained regularly. It takes real guts to land on a carrier in broad daylight and even more nerve to make a night landing on the carrier.
In 5 or 6 years, it may be combat ready.
