'Seventy years ago today, three German students were executed in Munich for leading a resistance movement against Hitler.
Since then, the members of the White Rose group have become German national heroes - Lilo Furst-Ramdohr was one of them.'

“Sophie Scholl The Final Days” is a fine movie. German film, made in 2005.
Sophie’s sister is still alive, last I knew.
A lesson ~ times can be and will be so evil that just being an ordinary person will require that you be a saint on Earth.
Interesting to read about the three students. Wish people here would wake up with what this country is going through right now and reverse the trend.
Odd fact: the students were guilloutined. Seems a strange way for the Nazis to execute someone.
Much better than some others, which included being stipped naked and slowly hanged (strangled) with a thin wire, like Bonhoeffer.
I wonder if we can find three students in all of the USA to stand up to Obama?
Time will soon come when more roses will need to fall before the faceless tyranny of Progressism/Islamization/Statism. Soom we all must make a choice—what is easy and what is right. Many will lose there lives, jobs, standing, and all they have. Will you be one of them?
Ironically, were they around today with the same credo, they would be vilified as politically incorrect right-wingers by most of the German press and political establishment. They would not have been silent about the islamic invasion and much of the EU crap. Not outright executed, but ostracized.
I agree. And I’ll do what I have to do when that time comes.
In 1933, Adolf Hitler had a guillotine constructed and tested. He was impressed enough to order 20 more constructed and pressed into immediate service. National Socialist records indicate that between 1933 and 1945, 16,500 people were executed by guillotine in Germany and Austria. It was used for the last time in West Germany in 1949 (in the execution of Richard Schuh) and in East Germany in 1966 (in the execution of Horst Fischer). In Switzerland it was used for the last time by the canton of Obwalden in the execution of murderer Hans Vollenweider in 1940.
Thank you very much.
