California would strip the tax-exempt status from youth organizations like the Boy Scouts if they have policies that bar gay people from participating, under a bill introduced at the Capitol Tuesday.
The measure, SB323, by Sen. Ricardo Lara, D-Bell Gardens (Los Angeles County), comes as the national Boy Scouts of America is considering changes to its policy barring gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people from serving as scouts or as leaders in the organization.
By the way:
SACRAMENTO, Calif. In a historic move, California's Latino Legislative Caucus has selected openly gay Assemblymember Ricardo Lara, who represents California's 50th District, as its new chair.
Lara's election makes him the first gay leader of this large and prominent caucus.

When I first saw this news (2/4), I send an email to the BSA:
“I am seeing news about the issue of Gays in the BSA.
I have a gut wrenching reaction to this, but will try to be brief in my comments.
This is just one more attack on the moral, character, and self-reliance standards of citizens of the USA. BSA represents the best of these, and perhaps the last. Even our military is being diluted into ineffectiveness. Now, today’s society is attacking the BSA, from every angle, including from the top down.
Up to now, I have been most proud of my accomplishments as an Eagle Scout (’63) with Gold Palm. If the BSA caves, I am afraid that will change. I have stood firm for the last 50 years, largely due to my BSA experience. I encourage BSA to continue to do the same.”
I think I will follow up with an offer to support them if they resist.
you know what? So what? Call the government’s bluff on their pathetic threats
I don’t think we’re in America anymore, Toto! This joint has turned into a real freak show infested with loony toons.
Scout Ping
So be it. Let them be independent. the most important part here is that the faggots don’t get to molest kids. Still a win. Funding was never a problem with the Boy Scouts.
Folks we are rapidly approaching a point of no return. It is almost as if they want a fight.
I have no a lot of research lately and the more I learn the more I am afraid of the outcome of this.
God help us.
“The govt has no intrinsic expectation of taxation”
Argue the philosophical underpinnings of taxation later.
Meanwhile, Boy Scouts and other currently tax exempt organizations should stick to their beliefs even if that means losing tax exempt status.
I think something big is coming down the pipe. Too much coincidence that all these countries are pushing this nonsense all over the world.
Maybe Iran or NK needs give us a wake up call.
