Parents across Massachusetts are upset over new rules that would not only allow transgender students to use their restrooms of their choice – but would also punish students who refuse to affirm or support their transgender classmates.
Last week the Massachusetts Department of Education issued directives for handling transgender students – including allowing them to use the bathrooms of their choice or to play on sports teams that correspond to the gender with which they identify.
The 11-page directive also urged schools to eliminate gender-based clothing and gender-based activities – like having boys and girls line up separately to leave the classroom.
Schools will now be required to accept a student’s gender identity on face value.
“A student who says she is a girl and wishes to be regarded that way throughout the school day and throughout every, or almost every, other area of her life, should be respected and treated like a girl,” the guidelines stipulate.
According to the Dept. of Education, transgender students are those whose assigned birth sex does not match their “internalized sense of their gender.”
They said gender nonconforming students “range in the ways in which they identify as male, female, some combination of both, or neither.”

I’m thinking some high school boy will say, “Hey, I identify as a girl! I want to play on the girls’ basketball team!” Not only would he absolutely dominate on the court, he would probably enjoy the locker room.
How does the teenage boy “qualify” as Transgendered, to be able to shower with the teenage girls?
Remembering all to well what I and my contemporaries were like at that age, I have no problem envisioning what will go through the minds(?) of these little hormone-saturated twerps. When ny daughters were in that age bracket, I was all in favor of going down to the local mall and having those little perverts busted on general principals.

I don’t think anything that happens in school should be a secret from the parents.
with this perverted media we have today and schools “sex ed” class encouraging them to have rampant, unfettered slutty sex, yes we should be worried.

A government school cannot coerce speech or force students to support something they find morally objectionable. Lawyers are going to have a field day with this one.
I can see parents pulling their daughters out and parents should convey that to school officials. Let them worry about losing students and state aid. Parents should prepare now and let school officials know they’ll be doing something else for a living next year. They should also let the jerks in their state legislature know the same too.

You’re probably right. Parents will willingly subject their kids to all sorts of abuse in the public schools today than to stand up for them and do something about it. Everyone wants to be pc.
Of course, there are a few parents who will loudly disagree with the policy and pull their kids out, and there will probably be more parents who decide the education isn’t “quite what they want for their children,” and they’ll either homeschool, send them to private school, or pick up and leave and move to Texas or some other sensible state.
The parents were also desensitized to this crap and it’s just getting worse.
This will never, never work. Try as they might, the kids know what is right, and what is bizarre.
By the way, I am a transexual and can only shower with females.
Kids have grown up brainwashed, their parents were dumbed down so much that many kids never get the balance at home either.
