Washington State Bill Calls for Sheriff to Inspect the Homes of Assault-Weapon Owners

Forget police drones flying over your house. How about police coming inside, once a year, to have a look around? As Orwellian as that sounds, it isn’t hypothetical. The notion of police home inspections was introduced in a bill last week in Olympia.

“Remember this prediction “

Five years ago I predicted Obama would be be heading to declaring the Constitution void and claiming the nation to be under martial law. I was chastised by the powers that be and told I was an idiot. “Couldn’t happen”, They proclaimed. Wonder what they think today?

I’d introduce bills to make the Democratic Party illegal and a subversive organization. They do not pass Constitutional muster either.

Looking at Republicans on the national scene [congress] they are either complicit (likely) and/or incompetent (less likely, given the complete failure on anything like Benghazi, Fast and Furious, ObamaCare, or [real] budget-cuts, or anything in their party-planks).

““A bill like this should not pass a Constitutional examination.””

Didn’t we say that about Obummer Kare?

Don’t you need a warrant to inspect property?

Yep, just like the TSA... oh, wait.

“I made a mistake,” Kline said. “I frankly should have vetted this more closely.”

It's the Hokey Pokey Strategy:

You put your gun control bill in, You put your gun control bill out; You put your gun control bill in, and you shake it all about.

It is probably part of some approach to register the firearms. Part of the registration process: agree to the police coming into your residence to “inspect” if you have your weapons and if they are secured. See, it will be just like having a driving “privilege” wherein you “agree” to give up your 5th amendment protection if suspected of being intoxicated.

We are beyond the point of needed to rid this place of these vermin, the question is when do we begin doing it.

Same thing was floated in a bill in MN in the last week or two. Access at any time to law enforcement to inspect and verify storage conditions.

That's an excellent question.

The pendulum will only swing Right again over the ruins of our cities and piles of dead bodies. Which I am NOT advocating.

That's the only way our country will ever be reclaimed & restored to its original founding principles & values of inalienable rights bestowed by our Creator (not government). These include our fundamental values of life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness, which are being attacked by 0dumb0, his fellow RAT bastard demoRATs & the partisan hack media.

Liberalism / Progressivism / Socialism /Communism / Fascism / Nazism are all the same thing thing, absolute control by despotic, tyrannical, ruling elitists. They will never give up or leave on their own. Only a great, bloody, battle CW II will uproot & hopefully destroy these socialist demonic maggots.

Detroit is dead as a city. It is not even numerically a city any more.

There is not even a police presence in large areas of detroit.

The LAPD considers citizens the enemy.
Other cities have no police at all.
Other cities are collapsing because citizens are fleeing for their ecconomic lives.

The only solution for the government bureacrats is to outlaw freedom of movement.

On a related note, our local PBS TV station was advertising a weeklong “discussion” on gun control tonight.

Dunno if you guys have noticed but life is still pretty good. Electricity, and hot and cold potable water are delivered with the flip of a switch or the turn of a knob. Food, fuel, clothing, medical care, entertainment, etc., is available, for pretty cheap, in any quantity you can afford to purchase. Violent crime is reasonably low.

Go “revolutionary” and this all ends. We become Syria, Libya, Egypt, etc. And we probably finish like them, too, with every little difference of opinion having its own militia ready to turn on the others as soon the current enemy goes down.

My tolerance for the pains of political malfeasance and extortion is a LOT higher than my tolerance for disease, famine, and murder. I have done “heroic” things in my life and spent time in the hospital thereafter re-cooperating from them (they hurt - A LOT). My life isn’t that important, but I don’t want my kids or my wife stuck in that sort of position.

I will advocate preparedness. Remember, none of us to do much alone. Prepare and organize.

and also realize that red states are overwhelmingly more free and more financially stable.

From what I've heard through various FReepers, when Liberals move to red states, they continue to vote for Democrats and support those policies.

These bills are what the Rats really want, but they’re purpose is to make incremental infringement seem fuzzy and reasonable. All these confiscation bills will fail. Kristol, Krauthammer, Christie, and Coulter will all talk about how reasonable universal background checks are.

Inhofe will say, “We just passed the most 2nd amendment friendly legislation in the history of America because the bill they wanted to pass was the most draconian bill.” (He said the recent tax increase was the biggest tax cut in history because if they did nothing, the fiscal cliff would have been the biggest tax increase.)

Having lived here for 25 years, in the southern part of the state, I learned long ago that the state legislature is controlled and run by the big guns in Seattle. Our part of the state is largely conservative and votes that way. We always lose, and so goes this bill, which by the way, will probably pass and YES, it doesn’t suprise anyone who lives here.

Florida passed a CRIMINAL liability statute for municipal public officials who passed, kept, OR refused to remove any anti-secondment amendment law that was already preempted by the state.

IOW if a politician passed this law in FL, they faced PERSONAL liablity and criminal prosecution.

THAT is a law to slip through.

Re the “bill”. The only thing that was a “mistake” are the “Democrats’.

You start with a mistake, you only get more mistakes.

That sums up the Democrats and their programs for the past 5 decades.
