On The Daily Show on Thursday, host Jon Stewart grilled United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice about the Obama administrations response to the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last year.
Stewart pressed her to explain why there was so much back-and-forth between government agencies and why no one seemed to have the straight story.
Stewart asked why there seemed to be more effort put into ironing out talking points rather than preventing the attack in the first place. As he put it, Why is there a bureaucratic system in place that is so tenacious with the explanation, yet seemingly abdicates a little bit of responsibility for the initial thing?
Stewart pressed her: Do you think the bureaucracy is more tenacious and detail-oriented when it comes to the political aspects of their job and less efficacious when it comes to some of the more brass nuts and bolts thing?

Yup. Your questions are better, but they assume an admission by Rice that she was lying. Stewart hasn’t set a predicate for that admission for his audience, but he got a long way there with this interview.
That history was already written a few years ago.
Something about the “Decline and Fall of the Roman Republic” wasn't it?
Bread.
Circuses.
Ever more Blood and sexual excesses.
Corruption in the Senate.
Power only in the hands of the politically connected ....

He’s asking great questions there...did fox ask these? Hopefully.
The guy from the Weekly Standard on Baer’s panel, when pressed by the lib, flat out said that the” worst case” implication from Stewart’s questions that were unanswered by Rice is that the Obama political team deliberately removed Al Qaeda from the narrative and inserted the video (of course).
The lib had said “Are you insinuating that the Obama political team went into the back room and did this just for political advantage?” The WS guy was quite heated and said it doesn’t matter what I think, it matter what actually happened and we haven’t gotten a straight story yet.
It might be up on youtube soon...
As of 11/29/12 Stewart was attacking McCain and Graham for asking Rice the same questions that Stewart asked yesterday:
Huffpo article (won’t link)
“Jon Stewart Hammers John McCain, Lindsey Graham Over Susan Rice Hypocrisy”
Absolute rubbish! Crazy talk! That can’t happen here! This is America!
What really sickens me is that people say ‘I don’t understand this’ and seek out some Oracle to divine it all for them. The thing is we have several. All anyone needs to do to is crack the history books because every single move Obama has made has been made several times before. The results mirror each other and it’s a set in stone certainty they will again.
But people refuse to believe that it can, much less ‘will’ happen again. Always excuses about of ‘different’ this is and how much ‘smarter’ and ‘well informed’ we are.
I would put forward that people to unwilling to learn from history are too stupid to deserve knowledge of it’s benefit.
Appropriate that a hack for the 0bamugabe administration gets interviewed by a comedian.
Thanks Seizethecarp. In the context of the partisan media shills’ treatment of Zero and his cadre, this might qualify as a grilling, just “a bit”.
Thanks Robert A. Cook, PE.
That was a revealing exchange. The lib had nowhere to go but agitprop so he went to the agitprop. Steve Hayes handled that well. He completely avoided the Alinsky ‘personalize it’ strategy. The lib works for ABC News or the WaPo, I can’t recall which.
‘Something about the Decline and Fall of the Roman Republic wasn’t it?’
Or the end of the Weimar Republic.
Great screen name and thanks for the update, I don’t watch news on tv so I appreciate it.
No one is more upset or cares more about this than 0bummer. He will get to the bottom of this and see the killers brought to justice.

Jon Stewart's capable of being more insightful than all the 60 Minutes crew put together... I'm not sure how it happens but I suspect it has something to do with integrity...
The empire thrived and prospered for centuries after the fall of the republic.
You're 100% correct. There was NO grilling whatsoever. Just lots of fun, cheery laughter, at how funny it seemed like the talking points were added, edited, etc. And in the end, well no one will ever know for sure... isn't that funny?
What a bunch of lying, pathological evil bastards. May 0dumb0Shit and anyone who voted or supports this RAT bastard commie muslim pig, may they roast for eternity in Hell!
All this show, is the sad state of the media in the US. How in the tank they are for Obama
Eggs ackley. The media in America, however, is the enemy within.
