[history]
On Wednesday, a private yacht sailed slowly and quietly up the Hudson River and docked near midtown Manhattan. This wasn't just any yacht, however. It was Eclipse -- the largest private yacht in the world. And its presence is sure to touch off a frenzy of speculation about its owners and future.

Back when I was fueling steamships on the Great Lakes, a big monster like this cruised into Duluth. One of the local shipping agents arraigned for 20 tons of diesel.
We never did know who owned the thing but the agent paid the bill...

If I had that kinda money, I wouldnt be showing up with a damned yacht... I would be showing up with an aircraft carrier. LOL! I'd buy an island and have my own country.
Who in their right mind wants to go to Nu Yawrk City?

From Wikipedia:
specializing in the trading of oil and oil products. However, in 1992, he was arrested and sent to prison...
Gotta wonder about any involvement in the UN/Iraq Oil for "Food" program...

I think they ran out of bansai and filtered water for their petite lap giraffes.

Kinda, it has its own submarine and TWO helicopter landing pads. I am sure it has many personal water craft too.
I remember being up in Camden Harbor , ME a few summers back. There was a sailboat yacht(about 200’ long). The stern was opened up like the truck on a big car. Inside was a mastercraft ski boat and two personal watercraft. That vessel was probably worth a few million NOT billion.

I was up on the top deck on that thing. I’d had a little too much to drink and I didn’t know where the head/bathroom was, so I went out back on deck and peed over the rail. Hit Roman on top of his head while he was eating his corn flakes. He hasn’t invited me back.

You give a piece of white trash a billion dollars and that's what he buys.If I was worth a billion I,too, would have a yacht. But mine would be about 55 feet and have a sticker price of a couple of hundred thousand.I'd be *embarrassed* to own a vessel like that regardless of how much...or how little..I was worth.
