In what appears to be an attempt to convince the world that it's ready to play with the big boys when it comes to military prowess, Iran unveiled the Qaher-313, a "super jet" with "state-of-the-art" technologies and "radar-evading" capabilities.
The only problem? It's totally, completely, fake. And now it comes with a fake photoshopped background, too.

Ah.... but they do have an advantage in grammar.
Are you kidding?
The spinners are like chaff - they confuse the radar.
Even as we speak this triumph of the imagination flys at super duper radar evading speed through cyber-space, undetected by the best U.S. radar but revealed as the Starship Photochop.
Wow. How quickly the press exposed this photoshop fake!
I know a another photoshop fake that is fakier than this one, and the press has not exposed it.
“The spinners are like chaff - they confuse the radar.”
Only if they fall off, like when cornering really sharp to avoid a missile - which tends to stay locked onto the rim rolling down the highway, while the F150 ambles on in a cloud of IR-obscuring blue smoke.
I can’t wait until next week when Press TV releases footage of this amazing plane bombing Tel Aviv while shooting down F-16s.
I was thinking more along the lines of the F-117’s approach - the radar signals are reflected elsewhere instead of back to the source, thus making it “invisible”.
Speaking of the 117... aerodynamically it was impossible for it to fly, too, without the widgetry that constantly adjusted the wings, etc, while in flight.
And taking out satellites all the while spreading photo shopped destruction on back lit screens. Do these guys have a sense of humor or what?
Israel should still bomb it.
Really? The aviation guys and gals here will get it, bad grammar or not...
In the photo of the instrument panel, near the top, is that a cassette deck?
Easy Peasy...no fuzzy dice hanging in the cockpit.
I’m assuming that on the right side controls, just behind the rows of toggle switches(?) is where you set the beeber to stun.
considering they didn’t photoshop in a pilot.....maybe it can be remotely controlled.
“Israel should still bomb it.”
Post of the day.
I was being silly...It just looks like a plywood prop to me, having spent time doing amateur theater! :-)
The F-117 was the first generation of stealth. It was not computationally possible to reasonably assess more complex shapes at the time.
Stealth is as much controlling radar reflections to a known point (and then making sure you don’t present a reflection to radars) as anything else. Planform alignment accomplishes this - The F117 “facets” were all aligned to the same point as much as possible - effective and solving a calculational bottleneck. Subsequent generations (B2) still have planform alignment but the fuselage has more complex shapes and coatings.
fun fact:

This was the B2 CTF back in the day, the central courtyard was designed to “sort of” mimic the B2 shape - knowing full well the Soviets would be spending a lot of satellite time focusing on this facility. Someone had a sense of humor by doing this - figuring they’d find out eventually what the shape was, it represented a sort of retroactive “taunt”.
