In this case, good riddance to bad rubbish.

But in general, firing incendiary tear gas is a deliberate decision to burn a house to the ground, with anybody inside grilled alive. (There are "cold" tear gas grenades that won't start fires.)

And firing in the incendiaries sure does get rid of any evidence....one way or the other.

I'm not condemning incendiary tear gas grenade use per se. But we need to watch out for this intentional police arson of a dwelling and its inhabitants being used against future "tea party terrorists" who "refuse to comply with firearms inspection laws" or whatnot.

"We gave that radical right wing terrorist ten minutes to come out, so we could inspect his gun safe. He refused. We didn't want to risk any police officers' lives, so we fired in the tear gas. As consequence of that decision, the radical right winger was unfortunately burned along with his family, his house and his possessions. Let this be a lesson to other gun nuts! There will be zero tolerance..."

Etc.

Glad I'm not the only one around here who can see the Sun by daylight.

Exactly. We'd better all build with steel reinforced concrete from now on. It's harder to "accidently" light.

Having cocncerns about the police behavior in this case makes you a cop hating pro murdering liberal.

I’ve been told so by my FR brethren who wear tall shiny boots.

Exactly my concern! That people on FR cannot or downright refuse to see the slippery slope to tyranny that this could foreshadow, if true, astounds me.

This is a nice example to learn about fighting with the government on your own doorstep. Just don’t do it.

Invite them in for snacky cakes and tea, instead.

If you want to fight, you pick the time & place and your odds of being effective go up exponentially. (Which is easy, since the odds of success in a stand-off inside your home are effectively zero.)

A point lost on many 'law and order' Freepers. You know, the ones who don't mind if the police break the law.

Yup. They will kick in someones door in the middle of the night. The home owner will shoot at them. Then they will burn down every man woman and child there while some from this thread cheer them on.
