Police in Christopher Dorner standoff launched incendiary tear gas into cabin
By CHUCK BENNETT and DAVID K. LI From Post Wires Last Updated: 6:14 AM, February 14, 2013
Murderous ex-cop Christopher Jordan Dorner wanted to go out in a blaze of glory and the sheriffs deputies who surrounded his California mountain hideout provided the flames.
The San Bernardino County cops torched the wooden cabin with highly flammable incendiary tear gas as Dorner took refuge Tuesday, apparently burning him to a crisp.
Burn this mf--er! one officer shouted as they had Dorner who had earlier killed a deputy and seriously wounded another pinned down in the cabin, according to police radio transmissions.
Amid sounds of gunfire, voices can be head shouting, Burn it down! and Shoot the gas!

Which one, the wounded officer or the dead one?
If you were to shoot at a uniformed police officer, what would you expect in return? A bowl of ice cream?
Either the law applies
What part don't you understand about lethal force?
Let’s revisit. They burned the cabin down. If that’s protocol just have an F-16 fire off from 5 miles out and blame it on aliens.
They’re going to find a self inflicted bullet hole in his skull.
Probably
Who was executed?
There are non-lethal weapons that can be employed if someone is not armed.
Dorner was shooting at the police. What are you smoking?
Their dress reflects a paramilitary mindset.
Most of the cops I see in uniform are dressed in blue shirts and blue trousers. Some wear Smokey Bear hats. Swat teams aren't generally doing routine patrol duty.
Dress like a soldier and you will act like one
That's a joke. Bradley Manning acting like a soldier?
The fire marshal's report has been released with those findings?
The LAPD admitted it.
Because it isn't in their jurisdiction!!
Yes. I would be astonished to find otherwise.
You should know, everything gets filtered through you. Right?
Grasshopper is growing up.
The LAPD was out of control, and that reeks of desperation and fear. Was that the fear of getting shot, or the fear that Dorner actually had some evidence that could blow some corrupt police out of the water?
They were out to kill him, period, even without anyone shooting at them.
There are rules the rest of us have to operate within to exercise lethal force. Maybe the LAPD think they are above the law?
Why would it? Why do you ask such mindless, asinine questions?
Great. Post it for all to see!
Old boy was surrounded by a superior force. Even in armed combat the enemy is given a chance to surrender if they are surrounded and outnumbered.
The Russians at Stalingrad twice offered the Germans a chance to surrender. The Germans still had ammo and the will to resist. This was during a no holds barred world war. The made the surrender offer on 8 Jan 43, then again on 25 Jan 43.
You are saying our hero cops could not wait this guy out. Oh yeah, he had such superior firepower right? Dead men tell no tales and fire is good at eliminating evidence.
AK wolf is under the impression that this was a fish and game op.
AK wolfie, LAPD was going to kill this guy come hell or high water. I could have brought him in with force.
They didn’t give a crap how this ended and I can understand that sentiment. Stop defending a scared police force that actually did not want him alive.
You can’t do that with a fly rod.
LAPD, different incident which I've covered previously.
Dorner actually had some evidence
Pure speculation and conjecture. Do you believe he was so dumb that he wouldn't have "evidence" in safe keeping?
They were out to kill him, period, even without anyone shooting at them.
So far, you haven't provided a shred of evidence to support that allegation.
the LAPD
The LAPD and the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department are separate entities. Are you aware of that fact?
