LOS ANGELES (AP) -- There was no question. The man standing before Rick Heltebrake on a rural mountain road was Christopher Dorner. Clad in camouflage from head to toe and wearing a bulletproof vest packed with ammunition, the most wanted man in America over the last week was just a few feet away, having emerged from a grove of trees holding a large, assault-style rifle.

TheMom bought her a little rifle because it was “pretty”.
If you are real nice she might let you shoot it!

Every time I pull the trigger of a loaded gun, a bullet comes out. Not intentional, I just was pulling the trigger.

So how soon after the media copters were ordered out of the area did the order go out to the burn teams? Just as soon as the area was cleared so as their actions couldn’t be video recorded?

Hmmm?Read his manifesto. He wanted to be offed. He killed LAPD and San Bernadino cops so they wanted to off him. You knew he was going to be offed. I knew he was going to be offed. Since we went into this whole scenario knowing the outcome, why should I care? I want the maids to get their million. I want the Hispanics (truck and bodies shot up) and the other dude (truck shot up) to get their millions and I want the cops responsible for innocent civilian involvement to be fired and prosecuted. That is my Hmmmmm.

It just puzzles me that in this day and age (of Bill Ayers and Obama) that any FReeper would think murder under the color of authority is preferable to a jury trial and execution.

They won't.
The information didn't lead to his arrest...

Your guy, however, was already convicted...found guilty by trial after the evidence had been weighed. With Dorner, there won’t be a trial and we won’t see the evidence.

I think you have inadvertently nailed the difference between Libertarians and Conservatives.
Libertarians generally are fiscally conservative liberals..
Conservatives generally have the philosophy that if you kill me, my family, my cops or our soldiers we're gonna kill you right back.... IMHO

Do you prefer the execution before or after a trial?

Wrong.
Conservatives believe in the rule of law, undergirded by morality.
The Cops who purposefully fried this guy weren't acting from this principle, but from revenge and they took the law into their own hands.

It just puzzles me that in this day and age (of Bill Ayers and Obama) that any FReeper would think murder under the color of authority is preferable to a jury trial and execution.I would have preferred the trial, but I can read the actions of both sides and determine that it was not going to happen. If Dormer had indicated he was willing to go the trial route I would agree with you. He wasn't, so my outlook is not the same as yours.
To: Eaker
Very pretty indeed! I want one too...lol!!

This was a police force acting under color of law, and you apparently are willing to justify it. You should be ashamed of yourself.

murder under the color of authority is preferable to a jury trial and execution.Yes, that seems to be the prevailing view here. Incredible, isn't it?
Somehow the lessons of our own revolution have been lost, even on our own semi-informed citizens.
