The discovery of a man who police believe to be Christopher Dorner began when two maids ran into him Tuesday morning as they arrived to clean a vacant cabin in the Big Bear area near where the fugitive ex-cops car was set ablaze last week.
The two maids entered a cabin in the 1200 block of Club View Drive, close to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Resort, and surprised a man who they said resembled the fugitive, a law enforcement official said. The man tied up the maids, and then took off in a purple Nissan parked near the cabin, authorities said.

That was my thought as well (and still is).
I have an old CA DL, from 1999, and unless they’ve changed them pretty radically over the intervening decade and a half, I really don’t think it would survive a major fire.
If so, I want to know what kind of material they’re making CA DL’s from! That’s impressive stuff!
The reward was for arrest and conviction. He will never be convicted.
On February 7th 2013, Christopher Dorner’s wallet and badge were recovered near San Diego International Airport and turned over to the police.
BADGE?! He was formally fired in 2009. Do they allow you to keep your badge after you’re canned from the LAPD?
OK, maybe it was a replica badge. You can find those online.
Well, they say they found the body in the basement, so that area may have been somewhat protected from the brunt of the fire.
When’s the Dead Dorner Press Conference?
already had it.
not 100% sure it is Dorner.
They should know by know.
How long does it take to ID via Dental records??
I knew someone would catch that — and it had to be U.
BTW it’s appropriate because they still have not declared him Dead.
So he still is Live 4 now — but that remains to be seen, or should I say, those remains need to be seen.
I didn’t “fall for it”. I thought CNN must have run the wrong headline for a minute or something when I saw the screen capture.
I heard it could be weeks....depends on a number of factors it was said....can’t add any detail.
