Dorner manhunt: Charred human remains found in burned cabin
Los Angeles Times ^ | Feb. 13, 2013 | Andrew Blankstein & others

Charred human remains have been found in the burned cabin where police believe fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner was holed up after trading gunfire with law enforcement, authorities said.

If the body is identified to be Dorner’s, the standoff would end a weeklong manhunt for the ex-LAPD officer and Navy Reserve lieutenant who is believed to be responsible for a string of revenge-fueled shootings following his firing by the Los Angeles Police Department several years ago. Four people have died, allegedly at Dorner’s hands.

A cold blooded killer is dead and can't kill anymore, like that young innocent couple he killed.
Good enough for me.

That’s a rather more elegant way of saying what I’ve been trying to. Thanks.

What if it’s not him, but another innocent victim whom he took hostage and left to die? Undoubtedly he’ll still be a “hero” to the left.

Yeah, it was an explosive series of events and the cops made some serious mistakes. That still didn't answer my main point - waiting him out would have given him more opportunities to kill cops - something just earlier in the day he had done. You can't reason with a lunatic. As Alfred said in The Dark Knight, some men just want to watch the world burn. Dorner got his wish - and then some.

Nobody here has called Dorner a hero on this site to my knowledge and i’ve read several threads.
I do think that any deviance from he got what he deserved onto how the police handled this, the entire way through, is seen as an indictment of police which somehow equates to Dorner was a good guy.
Simply not so.

Neither did he care if he took them hostage and left them there to die, if those remains aren't his. I don't say the LAPD are necessarily heroes, but that doesn't mean he is either. He is deliberately making innocent people pay with their lives for his war against the LAPD.

“Do you have any evidence that he didn’t murder people and ran off to hide like the chicken *hit that he was?”

It's up to the government to provide evidence that he DID commit crimes to a jury of his peers. It's also a constitutional right to defend oneself in court. Those are essential fundamentals of a free nation.

It doesn't matter what “facts” the media or police put out to the public. All evidence has to be legally evaluated in court before it is admissible.

Accepting anything less from the government opens the barn door to fascism. If it is proven that the fire was set on purpose by the police they should be punished. If government does not punish, it is the right of free people to protest.

Shooting randomly into cars or burning down homes are not the actions of legitimate police in a free nation. Even if they were (illegally) targeting Dorner for execution, how did they know nobody else was trapped inside the house?

Could Admin Moderator please inform us why anything associated with Alex Jones gets removed? Is there a FR page where banned sites, and WHY they are banned, are listed?

Are you seriously stating that my comment somehow makes Dorner a hero or that if a hostage was in there with him that doesn’t matter? Are you suggesting if he had a hostage and didn’t care about their life then the cops shouldn’t either?

We’ll see he shot himself instead of burning to death.

Yeah I was not lashing out on anyone on this site..I havent heard anyone here support that piece of trash..its just in general, when I hear about facebook pages dedicated to this guy it makes me so angry..after seeing this funeral, seeing the wife, the family, knowing this man served in our military proudly..he was a wonderful man and I cant believe how some people are actually cheering this guy makes me sick. I dare any of those so called supporters of Dorner to tell the 10 year old of this fallen officer why his daddy’s killer is a “hero”

Well said. Due process might have been a rare end event as well but the whole thing went down in about an hour and a half. I heard the whole thing on the scanner yesterday. All of it and I can report to every FReeper that the cops moved to the ‘burn plan’ almost immediately, they deployed the burners and then reported that they had fire. Those are the facts for better or worse.

Did Dorner get what was coming to him? Yes..but if we applaud burning down private property as an ok Plan A and police meting out justice more out of vengeance, then the rule of law, then we will get what we deserve..tyranny.

Next person we watch and hear live on TV and scanners might just be a gun owner that is only refusing to give up his 2A rights or his guns to Obama’s ‘security forces’. When the security forces are burning down his house with him in it, don’t say we did not warn you.

The militarization of our police forces is happening all over the country and if that doesn’t give you at least some level of discomfort with Obama and Holder in charge, then you are not paying attention. And please, spare me the charge that I am a ‘cop hater’! That is a debate tactic of the left. It is ok if you disagree but let’s dispense with the childish name calling.

If the body is identified to be Dorner’s,

So, by this statement, they (the police) weren't 100% sure that the person in the cabin was in fact Dorner?

Yet they burned it anyway? Hope he didn't have any hostages in the cabin. I guess we will never know...

I constantly have a nauseating feeling in my stomach... It never goes away any more.

That's exactly right! Looks like the brain washing of the sheeple is working out nicely for them.

I realize this guy was pretty unstable but do we really know he killed anyone? Do we take the word of corrupt cops that shot up innocent people's vehicles and injured people? They had a personal vendetta against Dorner and were hell bent on killing him before he could "out" the Dept. and the obvious corruption.

Please don't label me as a crazy conspiricy nut because I don't fall in lock-step with government employees (cops).
