Did you see shocker rocker/gun advocate Ted Nugent attending President Obamas State of the Union address? At first reporters had a hard time finding him, but eventually the cameras discovered the Motor City Madman high in the House gallery, sitting quietly in the crowd, with his hat off, wearing non-camouflage clothing. He looked out of place, like a cowboy at a piano recital. He also looked bored.
My favorite part was when I couldnt hear clearly, said Mr. Nugent to reporters after the address. Then, I didnt get angry.
But Ted Nugents Excellent Washington Adventure was not an exercise in restraint. If nothing else, the Nuge fulfilled expectations from both left and right that hed rhetorically bludgeon Mr. Obamas gun proposals.
My reaction? Im not allowed to do that because Im supposed to keep my pants on, he told CBS News after the speech. My reaction for the masses? It pains me to honestly give you my reaction. I just dont believe a word the man says. Ive heard this predictable, flowery, feel-good speech of denial before.
Nugent then proceeded to give a fairly typical right-of-the-spectrum view of the gun violence problem. Dangerous criminals need to be kept locked up, he said, and mentally-ill people who exhibit threatening behavior should be kept off the streets," too.

Maybe because it needs ripping?
Because somebody needs to point out the retractable genitalia syndrome that seems to afflict the GOP.
The GOP spends most of its effort being nice to Democrats, while Democrats continue to demonize the GOP to the public. Of course, what’s the public going to believe if the GOP won’t stand up for itself?
Because Ted HATES SPINLESS WUSSIES ALMOST as much as he HATES Dems.
Love the expression on Ted Cruz' face. It is "For the love of God, I cannot believe this sh*t."
The GOP is part and parcel of what is wrong withthid county today.
The Democrats come up with crappy ideas , and the GOP hasn’t the balls to object to them.
Ted Nugent for President.
Give Peter Grier of the Christian Science Monitor the Captain Obvious award here! What a maroon.
That is an epic display of restraint from ole’ Uncle Ted if I ever saw it. I just bet he was imagining what obama’s head would look like stuffed and mounted over his fireplace. If you were around Detroit in the early 90’s when he had his own radio station there, you could visualize this too.
If he actually attended a "journalism" school....he should get his money back.
Is the Second Amendment a defense against Democrats only?
That made my day.
I voted for Ted Cruz. With the way he’s been acting in Congress, I think he will now start to get some contributions from me as well. Well done Mr. Cruz.
I used to love listening to him on the radio...he was both straight talking and entertaining. I get your point, but I doubt if Ted has anything so limp-wristed over the fireplace. Not nearly enough of a challenge.
What part of the speech was this taken during? Do you know? Just curious. And is that Mary Fallin standing next to McCain?
HOORAY for Cruz! He, not Rubio, should be the face of the party.
Why rip the GOP?
