Former Navy Seal Gabriel Gomez has announced his intention to run in the special election to fill the vacancy left by John Kerry. A private-equity investor, Gomez now has until the end of the month to collect the 10,000 signatures necessary to get on the ballot. If successful, we would face state Rep. Dan Winslow, a former Romney staffer, in the primary April 30th.
As I look at Washington," Gomez said in a public statement, "I see a lot of unproductive noise and bickering, and I see two parties attacking each other at all times over every issue. I see gridlock; I see a partisan atmosphere where very few are willing to work together.
In my military career, at the U.S. Naval Academy, as a Navy aircraft carrier pilot and as a Navy SEAL, I learned one thing above all else serving others is more important than being served," he added.

If he really thinks that, he should stay home
“I see gridlock”...
...and that gridlock would be one of the few things that could help save the republic. Get lost.
I agree, we sure dont need another “experienced politician” in there... I for one will give him the benefit of the doubt. If he is good enough to be a SEAL, he is good enough to be a Senator.
Reminds me of the “moderate” Hussein Heads who blame “both sides” while voting Democrat.
Yep.
A piot and a Seal and ,may I add, drop dead handsome.
I saw him the first time, many years ago, at the local supermarket and thought good Lord who is that guy. My daughter knows him and his family but to be honest I don’t know how Conservative he is. I don’t like the let’s just get along attitude. It sure didn’t help Scott Brown.
IF he truly is a SEAL, I would count that pretty highly in my book, I have read several books by various SEAL members, not a bad one in the lot. YMMY
Your daughter should marry him and be a future First Lady.
Sadly this accomplished American Patriot will get stomped by some Democrat hack who promises free heating oil to the masses and televised public floggings of bankers.
Another Navy pilot Juan McCain doesn’t like partisanship either!
Wearing a uniform is a plus in my book, but it doesn't automatically mean your the best candidate.
John Kerry? Really? On which side?
Could be following in the footsteps of Jeff Beatty. Should study that campaign and do something different.
Not a Seal, but Beatty was Delta Force. He got 31% of the vote against Kerry.
“work together”
How naive.
“Let me remind you that John Kerry and Colin Powell have military experience. It means zero.”
And Traitor John Glenn!
