Barack Obama speaks at 9 p.m. EST. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) gives the GOP response after Obama speaks. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) gives the Tea Party Express response around 10 p.m.

and look, conservatives love to talk about the constitution and the framers. well, if jimmy madison, alex hamilton, and tom jefferson didn’t need to put any response in the constitution or make any noise about it after, then I’m ok without it.

I am kind of a statist conservative but as of now Rand Paul is my top presidential choice. He will run if it looks favorable to him and he can raise the money.

It’s just that today’s liberals/Progressives see communism and fascism as opposites.
They see conservatives represented by Republicans as the enemy and have put Republicans in the Fascist camp because it makes republicans easy targets.
It is my contention that Progressives think they are choosing the lesser of two evils. With no concept of life without top down control.
As 12 to 22 year old students learn the horror of Hitler, fascism and the holocaust, any force other than the US that fought them seems to have validity. A force that has at it’s foundation the utopian appeal of fairness and social justice. Nevermind the oppression, fear, purges and death required to achieve this utopia, it’s a work in progress after all.

They fear freedom, because it requires Faith in their fellow man.
They have no faith in their fellow man because they think everyone else thinks like them.

They don’t trust us. Because they know themselves.
They don’t trust themselves, so they are perfectly happy to give control to the only higher power they can conceive.
I agree, it all comes down to belief in God.
Without God, there is no meaning to life.
Without meaning, everything is permissible.
In addition, I believe they suppress their own nature for self-gratification and convenience among their peers.
It is sad to say, but we are dealing with children, children that scream and yell, children that have found themselves in power.
They are fundamentally insecure and are fighting for their right to remain that way.
Good for that. The few seconds of the speech where Rubio grabs the water have already been clipped and being made fun of.
