Seeking leads as the massive manhunt for Christopher Dorner -- the former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three killings -- progressed into its fourth day, authorities on Sunday announced a $1 million reward for information leading to his arrest.
LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced the reward at a news conference at Los Angeles Police Department headquarters.
This search is not a matter of if, but a matter of when," he said. "I want Chris Dorner to know that.

dead or alive?
See? They KNOW he’s being harbored.
He’s warm, well-fed, and rested.
And they’re trying to break the impasse with THIS.
He’s inside Los Angeles and he’s with Django-lovers, probably of the muzzie variety.
It tells me that they think he has someone helping him and a big payday might cause someone to roll over on the murdering animal.
it could also end up meaning his partner just gets killed pre-emptively (if he has one)
I doubt those harboring him believe the LAPD would actually pay.
I saw your comment on another thread. Good observation, :-)
I think LAPD would prefer it that way. Just guessing.
accurate
Your right..I wouldnt be surprised at all if he is being taken care by his leftist buddies who are rooting for him.he has enough of a fan base out there who would let him stay with them til things die down
I heard Beck on the news say that this is for information leading to his prosecution. WTH??? prosecution??? Do they want him or don’t they???
California has some fancy-sounding “Board of Governor’s” Crime-stoppers reward thingy, or something, and there’s a secret:
It’s almost NEVER paid.
Someone calls in some crystal-clear, incredibly-detailed description of some perp, with his current location, and everything...?
Zilch, zip, NADA —he’ll actually get nothing. It’s all a huge scam, at least in California.
I don’t care if they swear on 100 Bibles that it’s 10 trillion billion macillian dollars —the Good Samaritan in California gets nothing.
Most rational people would call police if they saw him regardless of the reward which leaves the idiots who think he’s a hero.
It would be poetic if an armed citizen took him out though.
It really would.
He’s had plenty of time to plan this, and now get back to a low-profile crib, and begin covertly carrying-out his threats. The Beltway Shooter/Snipers’ comparison will be interesting, if he goes that route.
His murders were NOT committed in Lost Angeles. In Irvine and Riverside.
So Tony is just running his politically ambitious mouth, while LE works the case.
He could be holding some local resident inside their home, warm and with enough food to last awhile.
I think the broken axle disrupted his “plan” if he had much of a plan. He fled with what he could carry, leaving behind the cot etc.
I’ve listened to a couple of “special forces” types on the radio, and they said this perp has NT been trained in special operations, and is NOT a super rambo.
If he escapes from the immediate area, he still can NOT disguise his size.
The amount of support this killer is receiving and the comments of his supporter is very telling. There is now such a divide in America, that this country, so hopelessly diverse, will never again achieve a reasonable social consensus.
There have been no real leads since they found his burning truck. He may be in a snow bank some distance away and off’d himself. Maybe not found til spring.
I didn't see or hear the announcement, but the wording is that of someone who is worried. Kinda like the bully who issues a threat, but can't back it up.
Dorner is living in many people's mind rent free.
