Police plan to use spy drones in the hunt for a Rambo-style ex-soldier and policeman who has murdered three people and vowed to kill again.
They believe burly, heavily-armed Christopher Dorner is holed-up in the wilderness of California’s snow-capped San Bernardino mountains 80 miles east of Los Angeles.
The burnt-out shell of his pick-up truck was discovered in the nearby resort of Big Bear, where residents and tourists have been warned to stay indoors as the search continues.
Yesterday, as a task force of 125 officers, some riding Snowcats in the rugged terrain, continued their search, it was revealed that Dorner has become the first human target for remotely-controlled airborne drones on US soil.
A senior police source said: “The thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him. On the ground, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.”

I remember when the beltway shooters were going about killing people, everyone here on FR (including me) was trying to figure out what brilliant way they were operating.
It turned out they were a couple of dummies who were basically just lucky until they got caught. I did think the hole in the trunk of an old junker was a good idea if you were a killer just trying to murder people.
Dunno, you may be correct...psy ops, disinformation and deception are powerful weapons.

The left has treated this guy like a hero..I want to see these scumbags tell the victims families that Dorner is their “Hero” guess killers bring the cockroaches out of the woodwork and they get a fan base. I would not be surprised at all if Dorner is getting help from leftist loons who see him as some kind of revenge killing hero seeking justice from the bad bad LAPD

Many men are die hard soldiers, they just die and kill for different causes.
Never under estimate a man who is trained and fighting for his cause, the one who wins is the one who is willing to inflict the most pain.
Whether it is right or wrong, is in the winners purview....it is what wars settle.

The title of the article even blows it. It says he killed the Chief’s daughter. It was a former captain’s daughter.

He went to college in Cedar City Utah, and owns property in Vegas.
Vegas is a metro area of a million population, but Cedar City is a few thousand.
First he has to/had to get away from Big Bear.
Very difficult to disguise that big brown bald body.
But he has indicated he expects to die, so he maybe most interested in reaching his next shootout spree.
