I work in the SPED dept. of our local Jr Hi, several years ago I helped a young man write a report on GW. He chose to be against it. I was fearful that his grade would be impacted by his stance. But to my great surprize, after putting together a terrific report, he earned an A and a Blue Ribbon at our county fair.
Maybe this is due to what part of the country I live in and it was just Jr Hi.
You can never tell by individual instances, but you said the work was hard to dismiss and it could have been obvious. You wouldn’t have been surprised if he was punished however. We have all seen that. I got it on a paper I wrote on the Yalta agreement from an econ professor.
