“Today, Vaus said his request to buy airtime also had been rejected by Clear Channel, which operates stations WASH, WBIG, WWDC, WITH and WMZQ in the Washington-Baltimore area.”
Maybe it is not a good to let one company own most of the radio stations in one market.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think the left has been purchasing media companies and hiring only like-minded folks in order to squash dissenting views. Certainly the diversity and fairness wonks wouldn’t be doing something like that, right?

Nowhere in the article does it have the content of the ad. It only has Vaun’s song. The stations said they would re-write the ad and with approval air it. There is nothing there that says they won’t air an ad about the 2nd Amendment.
Don’t let Whired Nuts Daily get your hair up about this.

We can't have adults engaging in a dialogue about issues politicians want a
monopoly on. 0bamaDaddy says "citizens are to be taxed and not heard."

From the original article: "
the spot in its present form is not acceptable to air on our stations. If you care to, we can write a spot for your approval that gets your point out there to our audiences."
I'm sorry that Mr. Vaus didn't take Mr. Freundlich's offer. I would have been very interested in seeing what the ad-writing people at WMAL would have written given the talking points. It would have been hugely instructive, and perhaps fodder for more debate about the mindset of the media toward issues, particularly when a person is paying for time to put forth his views.

WMAL-AM fired talk show host Michael Graham because our First Amendment scares the poor wuddle muzzies.
And now it appears that the Obama/Holder Dept. of Just Us and Our People may be reminding broadcast radio of the doctrine that inalienable rights for some people just ain't fair.
