You might want to ask the cops who did.

As for the people of LA, tell me if your police did the same in your town, you’d not consider it. No, a riot is not ‘good’. But it’s probably the only thing that would cut through the excuses.

It’s California. There is no rule of law there to begin with. Just the rules as they go along.

Have you established that the chicken shit dumbass cops targeted these women with malice of forethought?

They targeted the driver of the truck with malice aforethought. That much is clear. They fired into the truck without warning and without identifying the driver. Just because it's a case of mistaken identity doesn't change their intent and intent to kill is one of the criteria that makes it (attempted) murder instead of manslaughter.

Manslaughter implies no intent to kill, does it not?

It is Apples and Oranges and hear say at this point.

It's only apple and oranges if you want to believe that the target is what matters instead of their intent. It's clear they intended to harm the occupant of the vehicle unless you want to believe that all seven cops were firing warning shots.

Regardless of the LAPD’s BS, Dornan is a cold blooded murderer that must be stopped.

However, the LAPD has now guaranteed that the average citizen will not help them stop him.

If I were to spot Dornan, I would be unable to call the cops as I might be mistaken. A mistaken identification would guarantee the death of an innocent man. I don't want any part of killing an innocent man, and I figure the vast majority of Southern Californians would agree with me.

If LA has an earthquake in the next few days it will be caused by “Joe Friday” turning over in his grave. For those unfamiliar with the show “Dragnet” Joe Friday was the no nonsense LAPD officer who wanted “just the fact, ma’am”. Joe Friday’s LAPD would have never have done such a thing. Friday expected officers to decline to defend themselves if returning fire could place innocent bystanders in danger. These officers sound like “Fearless Fosdick” from the old Li’l Abner comic strip who went around putting big holes in peoples heads.

exactly. The LAPD, the city-county officials overseeing them, or anyone involved won’t lose squat. The taxpayers will.

Which is a bad and a good thing. Bad for the good people there that did not vote for the idiots that created this mess.

But this is why principle matters so very much and why actions should have consequence. Here’s my reasoning...

The majority in that area have wanted, and have elected idiots to lead them for decades. Democrat/libs.

The unionized cops went vigilante.

They operate under the rules and guidelines of the politicians elected.

The people who elected them should pay for the result of their actions.

Good people should have gotten out by now, but now they really better. Because the people who created this mess through their greed need to pay dearly.

When law breaks down riots occur.
I’m just saying lets restore law.

Our system seems broken at times, but it is based on natural law.

The further we get from natural law the worse law becomes.

Hold the misdoers of deeds to accountability, but let us do it with cool heads.

IMHO we have the opportunity to take this to the courts and prove that We are not the threat.

Rogue government is.

Dorner makes this point, but makes it poorly and at the expense of innocent life

I totally agree. But the realist in me knows that in California the following will happen.

Excuses will be made, unions will sue, cops will get reassigned and promoted, citizens will lose more rights, politicians will grandstand and the rest.

The actual victims will be demonized and get nothing.

So all I am saying is lets hold the misdoers of deeds to account.
And let us do that in a civil fashion without tearing down the rule of law.

There is injustice in the system, but I still believe in the system over lawlessness.

Gnight all

That could have been a “pipe” newspaper. This is sad.
Also consider the fact that with our wonderful economy it’s now adults driving cars and trucks instead working teenagers on a bicycle with a part time job.
How bad is this story on so many levels.

You cannot tell color well at night. The older you get the less you know cars.

OK - you have 2 lame excuses; all seven cops have night blindness and now, somehow, you know their age.

Now explain why they didn't look/check the plate number/tag, they had it.

If they could not tell the color and make of the vehicle then they should definitely not been shooting at it. This is inexcusable behavior.

"In retrospect, it was pretty reckless to be driving a blue truck that morning."

About twenty years ago the police were on the lookout for a burgundy Buick. Right now I don't remember what the reason was, maybe a kidnapping or something. I wasn't aware of this at the time. One night a cop pulled me over for no reason at all. He shone his flashlight in my face and asked me if I was okay. I answered I was and he let me go. I had no clue why he stopped me. A few days later, I'm driving casually along and notice that there are many cop cars behind me. This went on for a few miles. It reached my tolerance level so I made a U-turn at the nearest gas station. Cops did the same. As I exited my car to get gas, I noticed the cops were out of their cars, guns drawn.

I asked for rides after that.
