LAPD to reopen investigation into fugitive ex-cop's firing
Fox News ^ | 9 February 2013

BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. – The hunt in the snowy mountains for a former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three killings continued Saturday as police announced they will reopen the disciplinary proceedings that led to the fugitive's firing. Officials will particularly re-examine Christopher Dorner's allegations that his law enforcement career was undone by racist colleagues, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck told KCBS-TV. He also urged Dorner to surrender.

"If he was to give himself up, we'd be happy to hear what he has to say," Beck said. Authorities suspect Dorner in a series of attacks in Southern California over the past several days that left three people dead, including a police officer. Authorities say he has vowed revenge against several former LAPD colleagues who he blamed for ending his career.

A scaled-back search party took advantage of a break from stormy weather Saturday to hunt for Dorner in the San Bernardino mountains using heat-sensing helicopters. Officers also fanned out in fresh snow near Big Bear Lake as vacationing families and weekend skiers frolicked nearby.

Slowly bending to say to him what he wants to hear so he'll give up or make a mistake. Excellent psy-ops. This is beginning to cost a LOT of money to the taxpayers of California and the U.S. - hope the firing of Dorner was justified after all of this.

Just reading his Manifesto...I think this guy is dumb like a fox and is playing the LAPD for suckers. He’s probably no where near Big Bear by now and iprobabl figures he already wrote what he wants them to hear. He sounds pissed off but not nuts. Although, having Bush 41 and Clinton as his favorite Presidents makes me wonder....

A Huntsman supporter! We knew there were a few out there....

They're going to investigate themselves again.

I can tell you this for a fact-if it was a white cop who had gone rogue and was out killing or threatening to kill people, including innocent family members of whoever he thought did him wrong, it would not elicit any kind of response that in any way would give some kind of legitimacy to his deeds.

My bet is that he can try to surrender but he will be shot down if no reporters are present. If reporters are present, he will die on the ride to the police station because of an escape attempt or attack on the officers.

My guess is it was. People who get fired may be pissed off, but they usually move on. They don't turn into homicidal maniacs.

Has anyone seen the story I heard about thru a third party about this ex-cop owning a Barrett .50 caliber rifle???

I heard form someone who saw the story broadcast on FoxNews about this new development...

IIRC, even Law Enforcement cannot own or posess a .50 caliber rifle in that state...Unless, if it was grandfathered in before the law was changed to ban such posession, and even then I believe those particular rifles have to be registered...

I stand to be corrected, but I figure thats ok, because I know what the implications, yet again, of such information being released through a media outlet can be utilized by those who want to further demogog our Second Amendment rights, to create a concern/fear/panic in the general public in the area where they believe this ex-cop is holing up waiting to commmit his next move...

I’d like to find out (ultimately) who the source of the information given to FoxNews was...Because I figure we’ll figure out the purpose of such a story, whether it turns out to be true or not...

I know, they report, we decide...So, I’m just trying to figure out if there is a need to decide on this facet of this story...

Could also be that claiming to be a friend of the king is paying off with perks. Can’t have a professed Obozo-lover being a murderer now, can we?

The actions of this Dorner lunatic is justification itself for the LAPD to have fired him for whatever legitimate reason they had, or any lie they'd care to invent.

Try to imagine this poison-brained cretin serving as a veteran LAPD officer.

Speaking of PsyOps, I think Dorner is on the winning side of this.

I just read his manifesto -- long and fascinating. He certainly got their attention. There are more than eleven people on his specific target list who aren't going to get much sleep unless he is caught. The first part of his message was to "journalists" to use all their investigative powers, including the FOIA, to find out who he really is. We all know the sterling reputation of the LAPD.

Sure, it's costing taxpayers, particularly in LA, a lot of money, but if the end result is to uncover the cancerous culture within the Dept., LA will be the winner, and Dorner will have achieved his desired result.

His best deal now would be to hole up somewhere and let the frenzy continue. His threats were all toward the LAPD, not the LA citizens (unless some Nimrod decides to try a "citizen's arrest").

Ironic that his heroes are all part of the corrupt tyranny: Bill and Hillary, Feinstein, Obama. His thinking kind of falls apart after he delivers his initial judgement on the LAPD and their "thin blue line."

They could give him his job back in the end and finish this sordid affair.
