It’s actually quite brilliant. Campaigns cost money. It allows them to target specific messages to specific people. It saves them a ton of money. It is particularly effective in a society where people don’t communicate with their neighbors and fellow citizens. It used to be that politics was about selecting the best person for a job. And the best person was the candidate who would get the most effective and efficient use out of the taxpayer’s hard earned dollars. Now, politics is all about voting for the person who will give me the most stuff.

There is absolutely NOTHING they could say to get me to vote for a socialist dim, much less give them any money.

Yep, and they can use all of the persuasive power of social networks telling people how their friends want them to vote too.

Meanwhile, the GOPe is busy plotting against its own grassroots.
