WASHINGTON -- Senior Obama administration officials have agreed that the number of nuclear warheads the U.S. military deploys could be cut by at least a third without harming national security, according to those involved in the deliberations.
Such a reduction would open the door to billions of dollars in military savings, which might ease the federal budget deficit. It also would improve prospects for a new arms deal with Russia before President Barack Obama leaves office, those involved said, but it’s likely to draw fire from conservatives, if previous debate on the issue is any guide.

I’m sure all these “savings” won’t fund the deficit for more than half a day. Obama thinks that we have no need of nuclear weapons.

Billions in savings that could ease the budget deficit. First, you’ve got to have a budget. Second, anyone really believe they won’t just part themselves on the back for their “savings” then go blow that much or more on some dumb-a##ed big government socialist program?

Unilateral disarmament is a key in Obama’s planned destruction of America and her role in the world.
Obama was reelected so now he has the “flexibility” he was talking about. Vlad got the message and now Obama is delivering. We can use the savings to fund Obamacare.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
