RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) Authorities confirm that a burned-out truck matching the description of a getaway vehicle owned by triple-murder suspect Christopher Dorner was found in the San Bernardino mountains Thursday.
Police were searching Thursday for 33-year-old Dorner, a former Los Angeles Police Department officer, after he was named a suspect Wednesday night in a double homicide in Irvine.
Authorities said the officers were stopped at a red light while on routine patrol around 1:35 a.m. Thursday when someone shot them.
Two of our officers were involved in a shooting at the intersection of Arlington and Magnolia. Both officers were shot and transported to a local hospital. One was pronounced dead, the other one is currently in surgery and is in critical condition, Officer Bryan Galbreath told KNX 1070.

His defense attorney at the board of review.
Amen. Preach it, brother.
Darn, if he’d of stayed clean a little longer it sounds like he could have been secretary of state.
“Thats your problem, Marcella. You think too much. Let the media process the information and youll find yourself a lot more content. Too much information can be confusing. Theyll tell you what you need to know.”
I plead guilty to thinking and searching for truth.
What makes you believe that?
“He knows evasion tactics like the back of his hand.”
“What makes you believe that?”
That’s what a cop official said yesterday. Due to his military training AND his knowing LAPD police methods, he can evade them, that he isn’t going to make mistakes like someone else would.
I wonder if he has a place to lay low for a while then go on another, better planned rampage?
Meh...military resumes look impressive to the uninitiated. I'm a 'small arms expert' according to my records. You'd have to know me to know how silly that is.
Thats what a cop official said yesterday.
The cops shot a couple of paper delivery ladies yesterday. I have little faith in anything 'cop officials' say.
“The cops shot a couple of paper delivery ladies yesterday. I have little faith in anything ‘cop officials’ say.”
Fine, believe what you want.
“Chelsea grew up to be one hell of an attractive woman.”
The man is clearly insane.
“I wonder if he has a place to lay low for a while then go on another, better planned rampage?”
That’s the thing - this was planned for now - he didn’t just suddenly “go off”. He knew what the weather would be so I’m sure he planned for cold weather. So, to say a “better planned rampage” I don’t think will happen - he has already thought of what could go wrong and what his response would be. Maybe he will lay low, but I doubt it - I think he will get back in his “kill zone” and kill those on his list.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ENEMY and that is what a number of folks on here are doing. They act all macho and denigrate this man to be some dummy as though they could catch him right now and blow his brains out. They are severely underestimating this killer. These denigrators would be killed so fast if they were in his path.
People did the same thing about Osama Bin Laden. As soon as the towers fell, I got a biography of his life written by a terror expert who helped our government. He had followed Bin Ladens life from the time he appeared on this mans radar years before the towers fell. I found Bin Laden was very smart, had a degree in Economics and was determined to follow his interpretation of the truth of Islam, get Americans out of Egypt and all Islamic countries, and he was going to keep killing and he had mega money to do it.
He was not hiding in some cave just waiting to be killed. I spoke about this at one of our Republican Party meetings and was met with total resistance they wanted to believe he was a raghead, stupid, idiot just waiting for us to kill him. They preferred the cartoons of an idiot Arab hiding in a wretched cave. As the years went by with no dead Bin Laden (they didnt know where he was) , it was obvious I was right at the beginning. Never underestimate your enemy and find out all you can about him. Could be the difference between your life and your death.
By the way, I heard this morning, the two cops Dorner shot (one died) at a stop light were on their way to a house owned by one on the list they were going to guard this house/family, and Dorner got them. Some on here said that was an indiscriminate killing and it wasnt. It makes sense this killer has the equipment to hear police traffic. Every one he has killed is associated with his operation to kill those on the list. Thats why he shot those two officers he took away two guards going to a family of one on the list.
“Two officers in Riverside were shot, one fatally, police there confirmed to CNN. CNN affiliate KTLA reported another officer was shot in Corona, California.”
Dorner’s beef was with the LAPD, but the cop killed and the other seriously wounded were Riverside County officers. Why were they targeted?
I guess it is just coincidence, then, that the Riverside County’s elected sheriff is a big proponent of the 2nd:

Riverside Sheriff slams Feinstein anti-gun legislation
Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff took aim at Dianne Feinstein’s federal gun control legislation, notifying the US Senator by letter Friday he formally opposes her proposals to ban so-called assault weapons. ...
Sniff is expected to talk about gun control efforts this week as he hosts nearly all of California’s 58 Sheriffs in the Coachella Valley(Riverside County). The California State Sheriffs’ Association is meeting for one of its bi-monthly Board of Directors meetings Wednesday through Friday.
Methinks this incident is all about ‘sending a message.’
“This guy isnt some highly trained military marksman. Hes not combat arms, hes a reservist thats been shuttled back and forth between desk jobs and technical training that he apparently couldnt even begin to complete.”
Dorner was in Naval Intelligence and was very much ‘combat arms’:

He joined the Navy after college, receiving a commission as an ensign in July 2002. He trained in river-warfare units..

He served in a naval undersea warfare unit* ..... I will utilize every bit of small arms training, demolition, ordinance and survival training Ive been given, the manifesto read.
*This probably means UDTs(underwater demolition teams), like Jesse Ventura.
I don’t need you’re permission to do that.
Cops from surrounding jurisdictions are working on this but the woman and man he killed (the woman being the daughter of one on the list), was in Riverside County.
The two cops he killed were on their way to the house of one on the list to protect that family. Dorner took those family guards out before they could get to the family to guard them. I think Dorner has a police radio to hear communication and he took those cops out. Makes sense he would have such a radio.
Sorry, I said the two cops he killed - one died, the other was still alive after that shooting.
Thanks for the info.
